Miu, while I suspect that I agree with you regarding fundamental priciples about what one should and should not do to animals, I always leave some room for disagreement. Regarding what I suspect is the main issue here, I had to bite my tongue/fingers to keep from lambasting someone in the thread that I think bothered you. Having said that, one has a better chance of convincing others to moderate their behaviors and attitudes if one is actually on speaking terms with those whose behaviors we wish to moderate. Besides, the issue with which you take issue is not an official position of this website, etc. etc.

All that said, on a personal note, there are rhymes bouncing around in the back of my mind that center on you and Juuei. Please don't leave until I can "do yawl up" a poem.Your absence will seriously diminish the specialness of this place, and I urge you to reconsider.

I will miss you Miu if you go.
Despite the fact that we are from different countries I still found that I had much in common with you,certainly about animals but also that we both suffer from depression and insomnia. What was very fascinating also is in the ways that we differ,because of where and how we grew up among other things.
If you wish to leave I will respect it but like Bill says above the specialness of this place will be sadly diminished. Families disagree and you are an integral part of this family.Please stay. -

I love to read your posts and see Juuei's handsome face everyday. I cannot post as much as I used to now but I still want to see you on here when I do have a few minutes to check TDK. Of course we all disagree at times, I am a stronger person from all the debates i have had with friends and family, and some of the values and beliefs i have come from such debates. You are a strong person with strong values and stood up for what you feel stongly about. Don't let a disagreement that got heated deter you from somewhere you love. You will be so missed, and i am sure, miss out yourself.xx

The Hattifatteners are about, they sensed the storm and came to glow, as the storm dies down they will stop glowing and go so join us on the porch please for tea Miu.

It breaks my heart to see the division here, over what was initially an innocent comment. A single WORD. What hurts even more, is to see the pain in the eyes of the one that made that passing comment, knowing inside herself that she was the one that caused this fight which then created divisions among long term friends here, and ultimately the choice of one or more to pack it up and leave.
A person who loves not only cats, but all life and all human beings. A loving, caring, giving, TOLERANT soul who can never hurt a cat, a dog, a bird, a "Mr Squirrel", or even her fellow man. A person who cares not what a person's faith or religion is, or what country they live in, or what color their skin is, or what their deep-setted personal beliefs are. A person who respects another person's choice, even if it goes against what she stands for. A person who's only major fault is not understanding why others can't reciprocate the love and tolerance of HER choices in return.
I'm not here to preach. I'm not a missionary. I'm not one to shove something down everyone's throat, or to force someone to change against their will. But since this thread started with a reference to Biblical scripture, I wish to close this post with another. And this final comment IS directed to the person who started the thread:
"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward in heaven will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men." (Luke 6:35)
Think about it.

Oh dear, once again I seem to have missed the War and have gone directly to the Fallout. That's what I get for being away from the computer all weekend. Miu, I hope you reconsider; you are a valued member of this forum and I will miss you. It seems that there are always "hot topic issues" in every forum where I participate. Add to that the fact that TDK is an international community. Frankly, we Americans usually do love to express our opinions and we often enjoy debating topics (sometimes those debates can get pretty heated). I am sensitive to the fact that to those from different cultures we may sometimes come off as harsh and argumentative. I hope that we can remember that everyone is equally entitled to an opinion. That includes Kitten Master, of course, and if he declares a topic off-limits then it is his right. (After all, it is his website). I do think of TDK as family, squabbles and all, and I hate to see anyone leave.

Karma's Daddy, please give Alicia a hug from me, and tell her she musn't feel responsible for the way the thread went after her post. Unfortunately it seems to be a sad fact of TDK Chat that things are occasionally misinterpreted or taken too much to heart, and WW3 blows up.
I'm not going to beg Miu to stay, even though I enjoyed her posts and was glad of the opportunity to meet her in Glasgow.
I am going to say I hope she cools down, realises she's cutting off her nose to spite her face, and comes back of her own accord.
And I am also going to warn my fellow TDKers that if we don't all get our act together, we may find one day Kittemmaster gets fed up of all the hoo ha and pulls the plug on the site.
And I don't want that to happen. Do you?

I am new to this site, and enjoy it very much, I don't know you or your reasons for wanting to go, but I do belong to quite a few forums, and as others have said, no way will 100% of people agree with 100% of your personal views...not even God has that much love.
Look at all these people who want you to stay, and ok, one or two people have upset you- but remember instead all the people on here that like you a lot and want you to stay...please stay.
or take a break to chill out and come back in a few days or weeks
