  1. Oh, Molly! Poor baby - it is amazing what our fur babies will eat.

Molly, just confine your snacking to Greenies from now on!

  2. Oh Jimmie this is great news..That little stinker! I hope she gets to feeling good again real soon. Poor little girl. I'd consider the bitter apple spray on anything you suspect she likes to chew on....old habits die hard! =)

  3. Wow Molly! That's alot stuff in your tum! Hopefully you'll remember this and think twice next time something non-edible looks tasty! I'm very clad she's going to be ok, MMM...take care of yourself too, ya here?

  4. Sounds like you have a natural born vacuum cleaner MMM. Poor baby. Glad she is cleaned out and on the mend.
I just read the book Dewey, and he was a library cat who had a fetish for rubber bands. Such finicky eaters these 4-legged loves are, but will ingest so many other things that don't belong!!!!! Go figure!

  7. Yay!! I went to see Molly tonight before I went into work. She was just coming out of the anesthesia, snuggled in some very warm soft blankies, with big dilated eyes! They said she probably couldn't see me, but she reacted to my voice. Dr. said she surprised him, awakening so quickly. He said she was really good, he called her a "sweet cat". I know she is--Max is, too.
Dr. Pelia said he'd call me in the morning and let me know when I can bring her home. It's very cold, windy and snowing--I'll have to bring one of her blankets to wrap the carrier in.

The gals at the desk showed me what was in her tummy--I couldn't believe it!
There was stuff that I didn't recognize. There is really nothing in my new apartment that looked like what was inside her except the cord from the blinds. I wonder how long this has been going on! I'm just not sure what to spray the bitter apple on once I get it. Oh, they also showed me her tiny little stones that were in her bladder. Amazing.

Max is kinda lost, he's laying in my lap as I'm typing right now. I keep telling him Molly is ok and that she'll be home soon. He meowed several times during the night last night, but I called him back into bed and tried to comfort him. Hopefully, we can keep this from happening again.

Thank you all for your care and concern.

  8. Awwww, he was looking for Molly and calling her!
Rent a paint sprayer for the bitter apple spray and hit everything! :)

  9. LOL, GD. but it's actually a good idea! I think she's a "closet" muncher, though, cause I never see her doing it.

  10. I'm glad Molly came through the surgery well. What a little pill to consume so much unusual crud!

  11. So happy to hear that Molly is doing well. My Jasmine was also a vacuum cleaner. She would eat absolutely anything that was a string or filament. Dental floss was her favorite.

    Hooray for Molly!!!

  12. I am so happy for Molly MMM. I had a kitty once that loved to chew electrical cords. I never understood why. Of course everything(I mean EVERYTHING)was always left unplugged but he still chewed the unplugged cords! I would answer the phone and not hear anyone on the other end, I put on headphones to listen to the stereo and heard nothing, I think you get the idea. I don't understand this chewing thing. So happy to hear that Molly will be okay. It brought back some memories!

  14. Awww, she sounds like a little sweetie, although a little weird in her eating habits, lol. I'm so glad she came through her surgery well!

  15. MMM, I am glad Molly is on the mend, I have been thinking about her & you. I wonder if you could get a cardboard box & Molly might chew on it. Booger is a chewer and i keep some kind of empty cardboard box in the house at all times and it helps with his chewing. (((Molly & Max & MMM)))

  17. YAY for Molly! Poor Max, he misses her! Isn't it sweet how they call for each other when they can't sense the presence? WHO says kitties don't make lasting kitty/kitty relationships... :-)

  18. MMM, sorry I missed this thread until now, so glad to hear Molly's on the mend. What on Earth could she have gotten into? Silly kitties, they really keep us on our toes.
