  1. We just got in from the vet a little while ago. We're experiencing the "vet smell" problem--Max is hissing and batting at her (just like she did to him when he had his problems and subsequent vet visits). Molly came right out of the carrier and wanted to go to the litter box, but Max was between her and the bedroom. She tried a couple of times but he hissed at her, so I had to catch him and hold him while she used the box.

    We've got pain medication, antibiotics, her "Elizabethan" collar, all sorts of things to do. And special food for a week or so, some of which she just had. I'm sure she's hungry because she hasn't been able to eat for so long. Right now she's snoozing on her blanket on the floor (no jumping up on chairs and such just yet), and Max is sitting on the arm of my chair watching her.

    Dr. Pelia said she was an excellent patient, and couldn't get over how much she likes to "head butt" and rub and love on people. He also said she was very good in that she DID NOT chew on any of her tubes, etc. Maybe she DID learn an lesson???

    Anyway, she's home, and I'm here with her all day today and tomorrow (just have to work a few hours tomorrow night), so I can keep an eye on her.

    THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS AND HUGS AND EVERYTHING..............

  5. Thats wonderful! As for the Vet smell, what worked for me when Velvet & Spice had "that" smell was to wipe them down with a wet cloth and then wipe them down with a drier fabric softener sheet! It worked wonders! {{{Molly}}}

  8. I'm glad Molly is on the mend and able to be home while she recovers. Maybe she will change her ways when it comes to chewing on things she can't digest!

  14. Molly dear you had us guessing
    What you ate to learn you lesson
    When you are hungry, you must learn to holler
    Because eating non-foods has put you in that collar.
    Just cry and rub and to your Mom be sweet
    And she will slip you a tasty treat.

  16. Molly send her thanks to Dashy (and Ivory Bill) for the custom poetry!
    And I will give her tasty treats, but not for a while. She must have special foods for a week or so because it has to be soft to pass through. She's been a wonderful patient. I hope I can still say that after I try to give her the meds tonight...........
