  1. Yay, I'm all set. I'll work from 4 to 5:30 and then go to the meeting. I hate missing hours at work, but this is more important. I also just picked up a 5-day dog-sitting job in February. Yay!

  2. WWM..I hear you!! I pulled the all nighter with Abbie and whoa...I was so tired. So I went to bed when Wayne got up and I slept till 11 at least.

I need something strong to drink too. Something to wake me up and get me going. Plus some of that yummy pie of Kykats!!!

Kilroy, I am glad you enjoyed your dinner and got dessert as well! good for you.
You are welcome for the card. I am glad you liked it :)

So we are getting the artic air coming and it's going into negative numbers for the next 3 days. Oh yea

  3. sorry...Hi everyone!!! :) You must excuse me, I am brain dead.

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  4. You need to be getting more sleep, CM! However, I am not the one who can tell you how to do that :-(

  5. You're allowed to be brain dead, CM, it comes with the territory.

<Kilroy fires up the espresso machine again and starts pulling doubles for any and all who need them>

  6. I would love more sleep, however, that is not an option I think. We have utilized the baby swing today and it seems to help the fussiness.
Abbie, only really at night, has been fussy..she doesn't want to lay down flat, she seems to want to eat but then she won't take anything. So today Wayne seems to think that when she wakes up or gets fussy between 2-3 hours feedings then she just wants to be held or something. So we are going to try the swing tonight when she gets fussy and see if that works.

  7. Hey, everyone! Was on a little while this morning, but when no cafe was open, I ducked out to start work.
CM, is our Abbie a little spoiled with wanting attention instead of sleeping?
    Oh, lunchtime for me...later, maybe.

  8. CM...Abbie spoiled???? tee hee!!! I would hope for nothing less!!!

  9. CM, I wonder if white noise would work to soothe Abbie? I had a friend who swore that her baby calmed and went to sleep when she (mom, not the baby) turned on the vacuum cleaner!

  10. She sleeps okay during the day LK...I don't know why...once it hits about 9-11pm..then the fussiness starts and the every 1 1/2 hours waking up. If it was every 2-3 hours that would be a little better at least.

Per the nurses and the dr, you cannot spoil a baby this young. So I am taking their advice :) I figured my girls are not spoiled, just loved :)

One day I will open the cafe again and be awake when I do it...It's good to have dreams..lol

  13. I like those ideas WWM. I am going to have to show Wayne and maybe do one of the MP3 downloads! That would be great.
    Thank you !!

  14. It would sure beat vacuuming all night!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  15. got that right!!! Especially since my OB said I couldn't vacuum till I am healed! Wayne would have to do it..he he he...

  16. Hey Kath, here is some hot coffe and a slice of Pie. Welcome to the Cafe.

I am eating lunch at my desk today while I work on the grant so I am taking a minute to pop back in. Lunch today is home made chili. Perfect for a cold day and I brought enough to share! Hubby and I made a double batch over the weekend.

CM you really can't spoil a baby that young. Keep up the good work and hugs to miss Maddie and blue bear too. She isn't spoiled either!

  17. Mr. WWM vacuums for me. And, I'm sort of embarrassed to admit it, but he does a way better job - he actually moves furniture! I just vacuum around it....

Hi, KK! Chili sounds wonderful. With a big piece of cornbread!

  18. kykat...she sleeps with blue bear every night!!!

Wayne vacuums better than me too, he actually moves things...me,..I go around :D

  19. Don't even start me about Hubbs and vacumming!!! He does such a thorough job, he wears the carpet out!!! LOL...... Starting to rain here with this next cold front - high tomorrow only in the 50s!!! Cold for Fla. Just popping in to say hi, got to get back to paperwork! Hubbs did the nicest thing this morning - we went to one of our favorite little Cafes to eat breakfast, and when we came out, the boutique next door was have a "sidewalk" sale. Well, I typically don't set foot in there because they are $$$$.... anyway, Hubbs picks up this beautiful grey, italian leather jacket, and says try this on..... It was marketd down from $400 to $99! It was a size 2, and really beautiful. It fit me nicely, so we bought it. My idea is to give it to daughter (she is also small), she had asked for a leather jacket for Christmas, but I wasn't going to spend $400 for one! It's the young style, like I think she will like, so Hubbs is going to give it to her when she gets home! She'll be so excited. He wanted me to keep it, but I already have a beautiful black one, so I suggested he give it to her, and if for some reason she doesn't like it, of course I'd love it! Wasn't that sweet of Hubbs!!!!

  20. Yay! Go Kilroy! Very proud of you, and glad you had a nice evening! :o)

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  21. Thanks, MCW. The nice thing is, hubby wasn't even upset at me or anything. And far from being offended by my (relative) youth, the other tennis wives were all happy to celebrate last night. One of the them did say, "I bet it's one of the big ones, right?" and I said "It's got a zero on the end of it", and they all nodded knowingly.

AV, that was awesome of your husband. Maybe you and daughter could share?

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  22. AV that was really nice of your husband.

*boggles at idea of size 2 (UK size6)*

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  23. AV, your hubbs rocks!!! Your daughter will love it.
Kilroy, you took charge and had a good time and everyone didn't mind. Celebrate anyway you can!! Whoo hoo!!

Well we got 10 inches of snow Friday/Saturday and now we are getting more. We are getting that artic weather and it's going to be below zero.

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  25. Ooh, no, I'll go take a look, thanks MCW

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  26. I'll bump it up too
