So I'm applying for a receptionist job at Spay & Neuter Kansas City; interviewing tomorrow morning. The good news is that I'm likely to get it; the bad news is working 1 Saturday per month and getting paid about the same amount as I'm currently making on unemployment. Possible raise after 90 days, but a pittance is a pittance, and I could use a job that pays me enough to keep my house.
There's a job as executive secretary for the city manager, that I'm also applying for. Still overqualified, but the pool of applicants is likely to be much larger, so I'm less likely to get it. But the pay & benefits would be better than what I was making previously. Go figure!
Otto and Ellis, the CH (cerebellar hypoplasia) kitties, are doing very well in their forever home! I can't tell you all how relieved I am to hear how well they and Bu, the resident cat, are all getting along. I think they lucked out - and I also firmly believe Angela and Ava are angels in disguise. If you're into vintage clothing, let me know; Angela's vintage clothing business is online and could always use some additional business. It's at:

In other news, Even is returning to the vet this afternoon for a follow-up appointment. He appears to be eating and drinking normally, which is great news! He's regaining weight and condition, and appears to be well on the way to healthier days. Thank goodness!
