Peeks head into the room, looks like most have drifted off to sleep already. May just do that myself, had a horrible time trying to sleep today. Between the in-house crazies (aka cats) and the wild winds today, sleep just was not in the cards for me. Then ended up watching The Beast w/Patrick Swayze (his new show) pilot, which looks like it will be a good show. Red has his follow-up appointment @ 9 tomorrow morning, but it should go well he is doing fine with only 4 teeth left. So if I don't see of the late nighters this evening, hope that you all sleep well and have a great Saturday (MS, jcat, KK)...hugs to all!!!

MS peers around the NS door, all quiet. Agency kitties asleep in a corner. Fountains all turned off and cleaned.

It's 11.11 pm NZ time, no activity here for 3 hours ...the night is a warm in NZ and definitely cold in USA with Old Man Winter getting very comfortable..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters. . . so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV, & Tigger .... Good job everyone & bless you...
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on vintage music radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows shut for Northern and Southern TDKers, the weather is so unpredictable in the in-between seasons.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need.

Hi, Deb, hugs to you too!
Hi, MS, how was your day today? I went to my favourite restaurant tonight with a bunch of friends from Wellington, up here for Anniversary Weekend and the Wings Over Wairarapa vintage aircraft airshow, so my tummy and I are very happy. Someone else drove me home so I was able to have several glasses of wine -- I think Jasper is wondering why Mum is so mellow tonight, lol... I am, as they say, feeling no pain!

Ohhhhhhhhh, what a wonderful state to be in occasionally. Watch out that the cats don't pull a fast one on you tonight. I'll be feeling the pain later tonight as there is a party 2 house up the road and it's already quite noisy. May just have to unscrew the top(doesn't sound quite as good as pop the cork) of a bottle of Crimson Cabernet I got today. Tried it last week and it's a pleasant drink on a very hot night.

Ooh, that sounds nice. I'll tell ya, I could get used to this drinking thing. Good thing I only do it a couple of times a year... I don't mind what the cats do tonight, *she said recklessly* but it may be a different story tomorrow...
I LOVE screwtops. I know they're not as romantic as corks but if there's only one of you, they're a godsend. You can have a civilised small glass over several nights instead of either trying to drink the whole bottle on your own (not a good idea) or most of it going to waste!
We had a period of home-alone teenagers holding non-stop all-night parties across the road from me. Very annoying! I felt very sorry for their next-door neighbours.

This is a large family group plus friends from the Islands, I'm hoping that they mellow out later and break out the guitars and play beautiful music as has happened several times before. Quite pleasant to hear lovely guitar music and gentle singing in the wee small hours.
Time for me to call Shadz inside for the night, nudge Mr MS awake from his chair and to all head upstairs to sleep. Shadz ate 3 small dinners tonight so I think she is well on the way to recovery. Also I found the tail feathers from a Blackbird on the lawn today, no bird just tail feathers so I assume there is a bird flying rudderless out there now. Goodnight Jcat, and I KNOW you'll sleep well.Posted 3 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #
