MS, oh yeah growing older disgracefully is always a good thing.....it would be boring otherwise.

Roxy Music -- I had forgotten them. I only liked a couple of their songs, but I always thought Bryan Ferry had an amazing voice. I practically melted listening to More Than This.
I also remembered another band or actually several bands:
Japan
Echo and the Bunnymen
The CureI wasn't huge fans or anything but I did like some of their songs.
BTW Tigger,
Did I ever mention that I got to see Kraftwerk in concert twice a couple of years ago? They are amazing live. I am hoping they play again close by at a time when I have the money to go see them.Posted 3 years ago by owlwatcher_974 #

I love 'swing' music or anything close to it, and jazz and classical and big band. Okay, I love most music.

I saw the Stray cats at the Omni in Atlanta in the 80's... also say the Clash, Dire Straights, Rolling Stones (in Neworleans), B-52's, the Pretenders, and many more from that era!
Who grows old???!!!!??? I think I just woke up one morning, and I had time warped...... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.!

*unable to stop giggling*
I don't think you would have to give up your lower dentures, Tigger *grins* tickets to one of Kraftwerk's concerts don't usually cost that much - unless they are playing at a festival. I paid $90 to see them at the Coachella Music and Arts festival a couple of years ago (actually it might have been more like four years ago - I can't remember). A couple of years later, I saw them -- I can't remember the name of the place -- but it was an outdoor venue. The bass to Music Non Stop vibrated throughout the cement stadium. I felt like I had gone to heaven! I just wish I had been able to see them when they had the whole Kling Klang studio with them. Now they just tour with four laptops with keyboard controllers connected to them and a huge video screen behind them. It is really an amazing show.

They usually play Numbers and Computer World and sometimes Home Computer. They have also started playing Computer Love in their recent concerts. They almost always play Autobahn although they played a short version of it when I saw them at the Coachella festival.
The only bad thing about their recent concerts is that there is only one of the original members of the band. Florian Schneider no longer tours and there is a rumor that he has quit Kraftwerk altogether.
Have you heard their most recent album Tour de France Soundtracks? Well technically it is their second most recent album. They also have a live album called Minimum Maximum.
