  5. I am pointedly ignoring the two last posters as is my right.
    Teddy has done a lot of good since and he probably backed off on his antiseizure medicine so as to be more awake and thus had a seizure. His poor friend Robert Byrd nearly collapsed seeing this.
    Many people have done stupid things in their youth. Laura Bush killed someone
    from Wiki;
    In 1963 she was involved in a fatal car accident. Accounts indicate that Laura ran a stop sign and hit another car, killing its driver (classmate Michael Dutton Douglas). According to the accident report released by the city of Midland, neither driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and no charges were filed.[8] According to Bush's spokesperson, "It was a very tragic accident that deeply affected the families and was very painful for all involved, including the community at large. To this day, Mrs. Bush remains unable to talk about it."[8]
    It's called an accident. Now I'll shut up and go away for a while.

  6. Gee I know I am getting older and my memory sometimes fails but I sure don't recall Teddy being convicted of a murder. Involved in a tragic accident, yes, I remember that but ... Come on now. He has done a tremendous amount of good in his lifetime and does not deserve to be disrespected in illness.

  7. I think having 2 brothers assassinated,nearly dying in a plane crash and losing a nephew in a plane crash was quite enough.....

  8. The news reports seem to indicate that he will be fine. We have a dear friend who has been suffering with brain cancer, although now he is in remission. Seizures were a constant fear.

  9. Keep it fluffy, folks. If you want to argue about politics, there are more appropriate forums.

    Thanks.
