  3. This is so horrible! Poor poor kittens. I hope they find loving, non abusive homes soon.

  4. Wow I can't believe someone would do that

  5. Thanks for posting the update!

Let's just hope the court takes the charges seriously and throws the book at the woman. She should be barred for life from ever owning or having any animals of any type ever again, along wih punishment for this brutality.

Poor baby cats. Hope they find wonderful, gentle, loving homes.

  6. Yes snc, I too hope the county takes this seriously but with the sorry state of affairs Luzerne county is in right now, I hope this doesn't fall through the cracks. Do you remember Hugo?? He escaped the County jail and was never charged for the escape because the County waited too long to file the charges!

  7. Charged is one thing-serving a sentence that is REAL punishment is another--remember, animals are still "just property" in most states, if not all.

  8. Luzerne County is where my mother was born, in a town called Nanticoke. Back then (mid-1920s) it was a coal mining area. Is it still?

  9. NANTICOKE!! I grew up there! No, coal mining is done and gone. Also gone are any real, worthwhile jobs and most of the younger generation. Nanticoke is slowly dying away. There are two bars for every church and there is a Church on every street!

  10. Deb, I suppose my mother's family was gone by the time you grew up in Nanticoke; they moved to Steelton. They were the David Bowers family. Ever hear of them?

  11. Oh, yes, Hugo, the people's hero. It was popular at one time for the curious to go to Smokey Bones hoping to get a glimpse of him on work release! There were some drug dealers who were actually set free for the same reason, the time limit for the trials had lapsed. And this is the court system that is suing the county to prevent budget cuts and reorganization.

  12. I would say that someone needs to pierce her, but she would probably like it. Can't say what I think of this woman on a family website, but it rhymes with "witch."
