Oh no! I was away from the computer yesterday so I just now saw this thread. RW, I hope that you did manage to get some rest last night. Many prayers are going up for Victor and for you. Good Morning! Victor called me early this morning, and he is doing better, though very tired and weak. He did NOT have a heart attack, but a bad episode of congestive heart failure. They drained almost a gallon of fluid out of him. He said he would probably be in ICU till tomorrow, then they will move him to a regular room. I will see him later this afternoon. I am so glad he is where he is-those ICU nurses are like little bulldogs in watching out for him! They keep a very close eye on him, and make sure anyone who comes to see him washes hands before entering, and if he is the least bit tired, they limit non-family visitors to 10 min. and then send them off to the outside waiting room! They are wonderful and I am relieved he is in such good care. Bless all of you for the prayers and white light-I think we have come through another health crisis, and I know all the prayers helped. Now I am going back to bed to get a little more sleep-only got about 3 hrs last night, but will sleep better now that I know the worst is over.

That all sounds like good news this morning, RW. Goodness - that was a lot of fluid. And you're right about ICU nurses. They are so good at patient care. I hope that you will get some rest. Still keeping you both in my prayers!

Oh Ginger..I'm so glad to hear your news! Thank God Victor will be ok. You must be exhausted...Pleasant dreams dear and continued prayers for Victor's recovery. It's such a hard road for you and I'm still so impressed with your ability to cope with all the health problems you both have had. God Bless you Ginger!

I'm so glad that Victor is improved,I loved working in ICU,I've been known to get between my pt and whoever was going to disturb him if I didn't really think it was necessary that moment.and I wasn't that big,it was mostly implied...like a bulldog,hehe...complete with growling(jk or am I?)

RW I am so sorry this has happened to Victor. Please know that Victor has my prayers, there is such healing power in prayer. I also want you to know that you my prayers continue for you RW. It is terrible to have the one you love ill. I hope that you can see him daily so that your love will help him recover and come home to you.

A quick note--Victor moved this morning from ICU to Intermediate Care--and tonight he called to say they will move him later tonight to a regular room! So things are getting better! I was too exhausted and having a "pain day" to see him today, but we talked several times on the phone, and I will be going up tomorrow no matter what...gotta see my babe! Wow--you guys have some powerful prayers! Thank you! Couldn't sleep last night, so I watched this series made in the "70's called "Backstairs At The Whitehouse." True story about a maid who worked 30 yrs at the whitehouse, beginning with the Taft presidency and ending just as the Kennedy's came in. It was so fascinating that I ordered the book it was based on-all the political dealings from the servant's point of view. I recommend it (though the background music was very 70-ish and sometimes distracting.) OK-review done for the day--now I am off to watch DVD of Dr. Who! G'Night!

That is wonderful progress for Victor, RW. Now, my nurses prescription for you is to go to bed and get a good nights rest. Victor is in good hands and will be waiting to see you tomorrow. But for now, you need to get some rest.
