   Well, it's official. The US, the UK and NZ are in a recession. I know that lots of us are dealing with financial difficulties...some much more than others. But I bet that most of us are tightening up the purse strings. I thought it might be helpful (and fun!) to have a corner where we can post some of our favorite budget-friendly tips and ideas. Do you have energy-saving advice? Maybe a low-cost recipe? Any frugal tips involving pets? Post them here!

   I will start it off with the latest Wal Mart freebies. The forms are very quick and easy to fill out and the products always arrive...and NO spam afterward! New offers are usually added every few days. For the freebies that you can't personally use, there is always a pet shelter that will accept the pet freebies and a women's shelter than will accept freebie baby products.

   This is a cool idea Dee! The freebies help me out alot and it's such fun to watch what comes out of the mailbox next! It's cool getting to try out a product too before you go out and spend hard earned cash on something, just to find you don't care for it. I have to put on my thinking cap and see if there's something I can come up with that is worthy of contributing to ideas here. I've been under the gun financially for so long that often times I merely learn to do without a great deal.

    Ohhhh...This is a wonderful site I discovered for recipes/cute videos/but mainly I've discovered alot of giveaways!     Wow, those sites are amazing! They just recently opened a Walmart neighborhood market in my area, and I've been very impressed with their prices.... save a lot on groceries! But most impressive are their perscription prices - they have a huge list of commonly used drugs that are $4 for 30 day supply, or $10 if you buy 3 mos. Seriously, daughter's med. that she was taking to clear up her face was $76 at CVS and I transferred it to Walmart - $4!!! So glad I found that! Not ALL scripts are that, but the list is huge, and they will price things for you anytime!

    AV...I love that Walmart is doing that....and Target does, too! The other stores charge an annual fee for their reduced-cost meds, but WM and Target do not.
