Hahaha...I Love Tom Locke's $39 experiment. This is the first time I've heard of it. His breakdown of the response is hilarious. I Loved his letter to Nylabone. I couldn't stop laughing.
I hope I can find something along my way to contribute to this thread. Most of what I send for, I get from you Dee. lol. But,it's also teaching me ways around the internet. lol. -

Yeah....some of those companies should be ashamed of themselves for their response to him. If it weren't for the consumers,they be nowhere. I'm loading my Favorites for now with all these links till I can go back & check them all out. I guess I'll be doing 'requests' e-mails in the wee hrs. It's the only time I can. lol.

Also, I like to use www.savvycircle.com to keep an eye on things I want and get the alert when it goes on sale and whatnot. And www.mygrocerydeals.com is useful to me because it uploads the sales flyer of the grocery store(s) in your area and you can compare store to store without having to spread 5 huge sales flyers out on your floor! :)

Dee, I love the article on preserving fruit!!!! Boy has that always been a problem with me...We buy fruit, and sometimes we eat it in a day or two and other times just slowly pick at it..Bananas have always been a problem and usually end up as banana bread!! Thanks again!

J...did you know that when bananas start to turn riper than you would like, you can put them in the fridge? The skins turn dark brown, but the flesh is perfectly fine. If they get too ripe in the fridge (or out of the fridge), if you put them in foil or plastic wrap and pop them in the freezer, they are really good for banana bread, muffins, etc. OR eating like a banana popsicle! Really good!

Have you all noticed any increase in spam after you sign up for coupons, samples and stuff? I guess that I've always been a little nervous for fear that I would be bombarded with spam.

WWM...best way to avoid that is to set up another free email account used just for these coupons and freebies..You just check it from time to time becuase some of them you have to click on the email from them before they send out a sample to validate the email address..but otherwise you can just click delete all!!!

WWM...yes, if you sign up for a lot of freebies, you are bound to hit a few that are very spammy. The best way to deal with that is to set up an email address specifically for freebies. And if you use your autofill, you can fill out a freebie form in just a few seconds. If you don't want to set up another email, just make sure your Spam Guard is on and the majority of it will fall into that folder. You may still get one or two spam emails in your box every day, but when you see all the freebies that come in, you will realize it is a very small price to pay. My boyfriend still can't believe how much free stuff I get... And he tries to swipe a lot of it!
Did you read Julie's post about her mailman asking her to email his wife with all the freebie sites? That cracks me up!

Thanks, y'all! I so embarrassed to admit this *furious blushing*, but Mr. WWM did set up a second email account for me some time ago but I never use it. I wouldn't have thought to use it for the samples and coupons. *dumb*
