   Please halp. Tomorrow is my neice's 21st birthday and I'm stumped for a gift. I'd like to get her something special since it is a milestone birthday. What would a hip and trendy young woman want for her 21st b-day?

   Jewellry always goes down well. Maybe a pair of earings? Something she can keep and remember her aunt by anyway, if not earrings, then a nice chain or necklace.

   Earrings sound good. She has a lot of longer necklaces as the style these days. She works in a higher end store that sells accessories and she always wearing the latest in fashion. I'm thinking of something classic.

   Teresa, I'm so far from 21 (don't even say it, MCW) that I would have no idea! But I always think that for such an important birthday that to give her something that she can keep forever is wonderful.

   What about a beautiful sterling silver "cuff" type necklace that she could interchange pendants on? I know that's a horrible description.

   Boy, it's been such a long time since I was 21. Do they have those Forever 21 boutiques near you? Maybe a gift card would be nice. Maybe tickets to a play or concert depending on whether she enjoys that type of entertainment. WWM's idea is very nice, something to always remember her special birthday.

   Jymberry just had a birthday too, and I think's she's near that age... maybe she has a suggestion.... my Son turns 21 next month, and he wants to go to Vegas.... but I need to win the lottery first ! LOL

   I'm 28, but I don't really remember being 21... hehe, it's all a blur! I tend to tailor gifts to people's personalities. Is she into art? Maybe a nice painting or something?

   The nearest Forever 21 is about 100 miles from here. This is a college town so there are lots of stores that cater to the younger crowd. It's funny how trends come back around. I was 21 in the early 80's. I was looking on the Forever 21 website and some of the outfits had a 80's look to them. Eek!! I just found out my neice wants camping gear because she is going to live in Europe and wants to travel. She loves to get dressed up. I like the silver cuff necklace idea too. AV - I think our son's have the same b-day. My son will be 19 on 2-21. Boys are so much easier to shop for.

   Mine is 2-27! Hubbs and I were terrified he was going to be a leap year baby!..... he was 6 days late..... my due date was 2-21!!!

    My son was two weeks early. The leap year thing never crossed my mind. I didn't even realize until you mentioned it. Duh.

    Actually, your son is 2 yrs younger, so I don't think you needed to worry. '88 was a leap year tho, so we were sweating it!..... let's see, he'd only be 5 right now if he was born on the 29th! ....... of course, he'll always be 5 in my mind anyway!....when did he grow up?
