  1. I found this site while looking up kitten colic, and it seemed like such a nice positive place, that I decided to stick around for a bit!
A little bit about myself -
I live with my mom and sisters still. I'm almost 23 years old, but moving out is just simply out of my price range. Besides, I think mom likes having the extra help around the house.
We have 2 and a half kitties. The half is a kitten that I found at work. Originally we were only going to keep her until we could find her a good forever home, but now that my mom is falling in love with her, it's likely that this is where she'll stay.
I've always been around cats. Ever since I was born and regardless of where I've lived, there has been at least one cat in the house.
I think I might be a cat whisperer. I can perfectly imitate a cat's purr in my throat and I just seem to have a way with any and all cats that I encounter unless they run away too quickly for me to have a word with them.
Well, I think that about covers it for now.
Hopefully I'll find some good friends and conversations here, as well as help if I ever find myself in need of it.

  10. You've come to a wonderful website, Kristi. Not only do we care about our kitties, we also care about the people who post here--it definitely is a 'cyber-family'. Pull up a chair and stay a bit, why don't ya? You should also check out the 'Night Shift' in the evenings--it can get a little rowdy!

  21. Welcome, Kristi!

It's virtually impossible to keep a kitten "just for a while," unless the kitten prefers to find another home to rule over.

  22. Hi Kristi. I'm a newcomer too and a sucker for furry friends too. My friend/Jeff and I were recently adopted by a long haired siamese (currently m.i.a.sniff) who snuck in a 4 kitten family too. We went from a 2 dog family to a 2 dog and 5 cat family overnight. Yikes! Glad to meet you here..anyone who's a cat whisperer is ok in my book!!lol!
