I'm going to have to take my Buttercup to the vet to be weighed. If she hasn't lost any weight (she was 18 pounds at her last weigh-in), I'm going to ask the doctor if feeding the Hill's metabolic diet to a normal-weight cat will cause the cat to lose weight. Right now, everyone eats about half a cup a day of Iams Multicat. Poor Buttercup is morbidly obese; Penny was 12 pounds at her last checkup, which is a couple pounds more than I'd like; and Gabe has regained his body weight after being sick when I got him and is now a normal weight. I've tried before to feed different foods to different cats in the same household and have decided it's impossible for me. I just want to make sure Gabie doesn't lose weight.
I have a FAT cat, Ms. B is the equivalent of the mother who would eat everything the kids left on their plates. She isn't going to change, I have tried that without success.

Sylvester is 16.125 of solid kitty. Vet said he needs to lose weight so I've reduced the amount of dry food available. He did seem to have more energy this morning. I need to go on a diet too.

I guess Huddy isn't really too fat after all. Sure he's 22 pounds, but he still runs, jumps up on stuff that he shouldn't, and has no problem cleaning himself. Maybe he's just a big boy.
