  1. Good evening all TDKers, KM, Alex and lurkers.
Hope everyone is having a great halloween, and won't do any tricks tonight.
I'm at my usual spot, slaving away.
I'll be in and out tonight, as usual.
    Candy, anyone?????

  2. Yes, please. Trick or treat!!

  3. Hi Bobbi-
Guess I'll just be an old stick-in-the-mud tonight. I don't have any kids or grandkids, and the apartment complex I'm in is pretty much a bunch of us old fogies. So, as expensive as it is, I don't buy candy or give out treats. (I know, I'm a meanie).

Hope everyone else has bunches of fun!!

  4. Here's something to laugh about. We had Halloween here last night. Hubby was out taking the kids around. I was at home - some kids - about 5 - 2 girls aged about 12 and 2 or 3 younger boys - came to door, I gave them candy, they admired our porch decorations of plastic pumpkins and skulls and left. A few minutes later I heard a noise on the porch and went to the door to see a girl disappearing with some of the decorations. I yelled and ran out through the other side of the house - we are a corner section - and caught up with them outside the neighbours house. The neighbourhood then heard some choice language as I berated these kids and yelled at them to bring the stuff back. They brought back all but one which I didn't notice - made the little boys bring the stuff back but it was the girls who nicked them. Threatened to call the cops and told them in no uncertain terms that you cannot Trick AND Treat. Was absolutely livid and probably now have a reputation as the crazy lady in the corner house!

  10. Hi KK, Hi CW, Hi anncetera
MMM, We don't have kids coming to our house, either. We live too far out in the country.
KK - what a crappy bunch of kids - glad you caught them.

  11. KapitiKats, you go girl!!! Heard that you were in 'fine' teaching mode last night for what happens when adults get upset with little hoodlums!

Well so far there is no blood at my house with the newest member (daughters dog, Chinook the Alaskan Klee Kai) here. Everyone is gingerly walking around and staring at each other, guess it helps that he is outweighed by 'all' of the cats, lol. He weighs 8 lbs, and about 8-9 inches tall so he is at a disadvantage.

  12. Unfortunately, these problem kids are everywhere. Guess it's all in how they're raised, and it all goes back to the parents.

  13. Debra I just googled the Klee Kai to see what it looked like. Very pretty dog.

  14. KapitiKats, thanks he is a cutie and smaller than even I thought he would be...different in the house so far, haven't had a dog for the last 5 years, so we shall see

  20. Hi
I'm new to the night shift. I'm usually a lurker though. My hubby was on an interview at 3pm this afternoon, and it's 6:40 here and he's just on his way home. So, now I have time to get on the net and chat with a few of my fellows on the TDK night shift. He called me on his mobile phone and told me the comapany had him interview with 3 other people besides the human resources honcho. I guess that's good news.

  21. Hello all!! Happy Halloween to ya!

I had one trick- or-treater, little boy neighbor kid. His dad walked him around. That's it. Most people here take their kids to a bigger place with lots of houses. At least I had one. I only have raisinettes, gave him 4 little packages, and figured he would be the only one.

  22. Am I here? I went invisible like Catwoman says happened to her. Can anyone see me?

  23. We have a few wanna be hoodlums here in the park as well. I'm bringing my bicycle in off the porch so they don't swipe it. I'm alittle concerned about the outdoor cats since the last time we caught the kids shooting at them with bee bee guns. But hopefully they have enuf fear of strangers in them to stay out of harms way.

Keep a lid on the garbage...you know how dogs are. They liked to dump the garbage & blame the cats.

  24. Pita's okay, still hobbling a bit. But she's far enough along to start training next week, so I'm hopeful. The kitties are fine. Haven't seen them in a week (boohoo), but next week I babysit for 10 days (hooray!).

  27. I can see you MCW

  28. I have been searching the web for Bread machine recipes so I can make a loaf. Most call for powdered milk and I have none. My recipe book is buried under some stuff right now. I HATE when that happens. Found one that doesn't call for it. Wonder if I traded 2 T of milk for the water, if that would work? I can use a lot less yeast that these recipes call for, or else my loaf rises really high, hits the top of the machine, and falls. Yuk....
