  1. I have to take back my offer to give Rocky a furrever home. Tom went to his doctor today and was telling him that we were going to try and adopt Rocky and the doctor said absoulutely not!!! No Way!! Apparently, because Tom's liver is so bad, his immune system is essentially non-existant--the doctor said that if we had already had animals it wouldn't be problem to keep them because Tom already would have been exposed to their natural "flora and fauna", but bringing a new animal into the house could be really dangerous. Crap! I really, really wanted to have Rocky as my kitty--I was already thinking of him as MY kitty. I just want to cry!

  2. I'm so sorry to hear this, both that Tom has such liver problems and that it means you can't have Rocky. It's okay to cry!

  3. Shelley...I'm sorry as well that Tom has such dangerous healthissues that the 2 of you can't adopt pets. {{{HUGS}}}.

    BTW...your still a wonderful,loving person,even without adopting Rocky.

  4. Wel Susie, I wanted to be Rocky's mom so bad. I will keep trying. I need a kitty in my life--it may not be today,but someday. I am not giving up, but I do feel horrible about offering hope to scarver and then having to change that.
    Somrday I will be able to have a kitty.

  5. Shelley, Tom's health has to come first, and you were wonderful for trying to help. I agree with Marnet, it's okay to cry. {{{Hugs}}}

  8. It's OK to cry--I know scarver will understand. If you could you would take him. Until the day when your husband is strong again(I will be praying)you can have a virtual kitty. How about sponsoring a cat at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah? This way he/she is "your cat" without having to expose your husband, and you are helping a good cause.

  9. Shelley, it is so important to put Tom's health first! You know that Scarver will understand. And when things are better on the health front scene, you know that there will be a little kitty waiting just for you!
