  1. Last night's "why oh why" thread is another example of why I love TDK - you guys are some of the funniest, wittiest people I know, and we love to have fun!

  5. The show of Support & Solidarity is what started to grab me where it counts. I've never felt such Loving & Caring people as I have here. A Unity that is strong & for all the right reasons...the animals. I just love coming back to this thread & reading the new posts that continue to be added.

  11. I love TDK because although I am relatively "new" I already feel like an old family member. Everyone here has welcomed me with opened paws. Maybe we cat people are different (and smarter than dog people) but I feel genuinely welcome here. People seem to want to know about me and my girls along with seeing pix of them. It seems like there is a certain openness and willingness to listen to each other and help each other. I am touched by what others have written on this thread. Everyone seems so nice, I am glad I stumbled across this site and am glad the KittenMaster started it. It's funny because I think you can tell so much about a person by the picture of their kitty on their avatar. All kitties are SO BEAUTIFUL! I love you all, you too, are beautiful, like your kitties! I hope to continue a long relationship on TDK. I must admit I can't wait to click over and see the Kitten for the day. It stinks that I don't get to see it until I come home from work. And now, I step off the soapbox and hand off the mic.......

  13. I haven't been here long and I don't post much here..but I like TDK cause it's warm and fuzzy like Willow and Wicket's coat.
And I love the way everyone treats there kitties like kings and queens. I've always thought a person who doesn't like animals is a person I can't understand or relate to...so I guess that's why we all connect to each other. Animals have the ability to bring people together even in ways that we are unconscious of. s
    For example
One day I was waiting at the front of the supermarket and there was this puppy on a lead tied to a pole. It was the cutest thing. Extradorinarily fluffy so that you could barely see its eyes. The amount of people that patted him was amazing...a little group of kids exclaiming their desire for their own puppy, an elderley asian man who could barely walk, a young girl while she held her boyfriend's hand, a 'tough' guy that was covered in tatoos and acted like his affection to the puppy was kind of reluctant...as if the puppy 'got in his way so he had to pat it to usher it away.
Anyway I remember thinking how beautiful it was...how this little puppy created a connection between all these people who were so vastly different.
So that's like us. We are brought together cause of our kitties - from all parts of the world.

  15. JessiJ I think that is a profound observation. A lovely one that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. You must have a writers heart. I think you should be posting more and I'm glad you found us too.

  16. You TDK'ers make me feel like family. You are the sisters and brothers I never had but always wanted (I'm a only child)...

  17. I'm glad you found us too, Mollycat and JessiJ. It is wonderful to make these connections. The world is a smaller, friendlier place because of this website. :)

  19. I have been more at peace since TDK started and the family it has created :P Along with the friendships, there is the vast amount of knowledge about almost anything within the members of our little worldwide family.

  20. I agree with everything everyone has said, it truly is a real family here. I feel like I have already moved right on in. Our cats brought us together but we made ourselves a family! Thank you all!

  21. I think you all are wonderful and welcoming people. I have always wanted to be a part of a website like this one and its awesome to get to talk with people who love kitties as much as I do! As a new member (2 months), I just want to say thank you to all of you who have been so kind to me and helped me with Huey and Ari. I have felt like a part of the family since day one! (((Hugs)))

  22. TDK is my sanity at times. As you all know(and the new ones will soon find out) I have Maddie, a 2 year old, and Abbie, a 6 week old baby and I am a stay at home mom. I can come here for questions, rants, adult conversations, laughs etc. I don't get out too much since it's winter and the kids, but I can always talk to friends/family on here and I know I am loved and wanted on this site.
    Hugs to everyone!!

  23. Susie just sent me this poem I had written down twenty eight years ago on the inside lid of a Probe game. It's untitled and short but expresses my TDK feelings. =)

    He finds a treasure,
    Who finds a friend.
    And from that moment on,
He knows no matter where he goes,
    His lonely days are gone.

  26. I think we're pretty much all in agreement here. I am late coming to this thread because I was out of town, apparently, when the ruckus happened. You know, I just jumped on this site and started putting my 2 cents in. Everyone was supportive from post #1. We are a community in a world where face to face community is not what it used to be. We come because of our love for our felines and we stay because we come to care for and do our best to be there for each other. Many of your handles I recognized from the TDK site and became involved when I read about Gini's Taco (let's not forget Feeney, too). So thanks for giving me a space when in my crazy work world, where I handle other people's troubles, this is great respite for me.
