Morning all! Internet is back up at work. It seems that the power crews keep messing with the phone and data lines around here. I'll enjoy it for as long as it lasts today! Mocha latte for me! It is 13 degrees here with a windchill factor of a few degrees below 0. I am waiting for the weekend it is supposed to warm up by Saturday. Just in time to deal with the downed tree branches in the yard!

Not too bad here today, and the snow from yesterday has disappeared. Sooo glad it didn't freeze up and turn slick and slippery.
George was a BRAT last night; he was running around all evening chirruping like something was wrong, but there was nothing wrong, silly cat. This continued at bedtime, and he took forever to settle down. Then he attacked my feet at about 5:00 this a.m. and I finally had to throw him out of the bedroom and close the door, which of course made him howl.
*YAWN* Could I get some coffee, and a kitten to snuggle, pretty please?

Must have been something in the air last night, Trix woke us up last night too, so noisy that other my half thought we had left the door shut so he couldn't get out of the cat flap. after stumbling down in the dark, door was fine, Trix just being naughty!

Good morning, Everyone! It's not a gym day so I slept late! It was wonderful to catch up even a tiny bit.
What weird thread? Seems like there have been so many lately that it's hard to know which one was the weirdest! It's getting a little wearisome trying to think which are legit and which are not. Because I remain convinced that several are not.
I think that I am off to make some oatmeal. Back in a bit!

Look for your state, Florida right? and check it out. Lots of halaus there I believe. Let me know if you start hula ! Always great to have hula sisters around the US/world !

I love Wednesdays! It's one of my easier days at school (only 3 classes) and it's Lost and wine night!
I just got back from my first class and I have to go back at 5 for the last 2. I got back a quiz today that I got 100 on, wooh!
Today is kind of dragging for me. I couldn't sleep until 2:00 AM and then I woke up at 5 AM with a nightmare. After that I couldn't fall back asleep until about 7 and I drifted on and off for 2 hours until the alarm went off at 9.
I have a big paper to write tonight on Ethics, so I'll probably do that now and check in here from time to time in the day!

I think you are all right that it is something in the air. I was up at 4:30am yesterday..to work by 6:30am..work all day with big meeting setup, etc...then dinner out with group at 6:30-8:30..home around 9:15..too tired to play with my kitties and went to bed grumpy. Woken up several times during the night by Sylvester. First to knead my belly and chest, then to sleep next to me and then to knead again. Up at 5:30am to be at work by 7:30 to help with setting up for all day meeting which I will be attending from 1-5pm and then another group dinner at 6:00pm which depending on how I feel, I may go or I may bow out.
Sorry about your rough night Gini but that is great that you aced the quiz!!That is too bad about George being a brat, Kilroy. Wow, some of you have really cold weather not to mention snow too!! We have been having night time temps in the 40's and daytime temps in the lower 60's all last week and so far this week but am told we are suppose to get rain tomorrow through to the weekend (yay as we really need the water). I hope this is a gully washer type of rain but have a feeling it won't be.
I am sitting here at my desk with a breather until I have to pick up the boxed lunches scheduled to arrive between 12-12:30pm. I am really wanting to curl up under my desk and take a nap. I am so tired today. I need a ginormous cup of mocha with some bailey and kahlua...(hic hic hic).

SMM that stinks that you are so sleepy. Mike brought home this interesting product from work the other day. It's called Buzz Bites and its chocolate chews that have 100 mg of caffeine in them as well as ginseng and taurine. They surprisingly wake me up pretty well

{{{{{SMM}}}}}} I sure understand being so tired from not sleeping that you can barely function. I would offer some wise advice, but you know that I have none! I have tried just about every trick that I can think of to try and sleep. Right now I'm sleeping with little ear phones on and white noise going all night. It does seem to help. Except that whale that keeps hollering!

AV - I just checked the site and it is currently down. Must be doing some updating. It's a great place for all kinds of info .... CDs, lyrics, events - all Hawaiian related.
So cold in the office... need more tea ! 80 degrees outside and I'm wearing long sleeves and a sweater inside !

Oh, lots of white noise recordings have whale sounds, SMM. Like that's something we hear real often out here in West Texas! I have mine on rain and thunder sounds - two other noises that we never hear out here!

2P - I copied the link into my favorites in my folder named "dance sites"..... I haven't had a chance to spend time with it yet, but that's how I save things so I can go back to them later (which I'm looking foward to).... I have quite a few interesting ones in there so far, daughter is also interested in Irish dancing (which I LOVE because it involves tap), and in belly dancing! She can do the best tummy roll I've ever seen! Sadly, I look like a spastic pretzel when I try to do one, but she can keep every other part of her body perfectly still, and just roll her tummy up and down from top to bottom!
..... now where was I in trying to get things done...... oh, there's the tail again....
