  1. Good morning! Happy Friday!!!!

On the menu from John's Kitchen!!

Fresh squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice (both from the Sunshine State), cranberry juice, coffee (all flavors, roasts, and blends) with the the nummies to add to it, lattes, pancakes (take your choice of type), french toast (both stuffed and unstuffed), bacon, ham, sausage (patties and links and gravy), all kinds of omelets, hashbrowns or american fries, muffins, toast, bagels, omelets (any filling), and of course a dozen at least TDK Employment Agency Kittens. 4. Morning, Terri & SOM. *helps self to glass of orange juice* I am so glad it's Friday. It's going to warm up here from the 20's to the 40's and almost 50 tomorrow.

  5. Good morning ladies! Happy Friday! I'll have an omelet with cheese and mushrooms, hash browns, large mimosa (woowoo) and an agency kitty please :-)

  6. Hi LK and Sio!!
Avocado trees! Yum! Yep, the kits were with us too! Sammy is a little snugglebug now that it is cold. He went out into the sun room (???) this a.m. and it was 37 out there, ran right back into the kitchen. He was walking Bob out the door for work. We just doubled up laughing!! Oliver just sat there, "What the ....?" Looks like a dusting of snow so I know we really got hit last night.

  7. Good morning. May I join? Been up all night making sure Alice was okay and getting her first insulin shot into her a little bit ago. Need to stay awake long enough to make sure she doesn't have a negative reaction to the shot.

So may I please have strong hot tea, some fresh squeezed orange juice, and visit with the agency kitties, to get their opinion of sticking kitties with tiny insulin shots?

  8. Marnet, I'm sure Alice appreciates all you are doing to keep her healthy. Still thinking of both of you for good results.
    Siobhan, good morning.

  9. The only avocado I've ever eaten is in guacomole. Are there other ways of preparing and eating it?

Posted 3 years ago by Marnet #

  10. Hi and thanks for inviting me to your kitchen, John and Terri. Hi SOM, LK, Siobhan & Marnet! Hope everyone is well today.

  12. Hi all!! A nice steaming hot earl grey tea please!! Well, the whole of the westcountry is covered in snow and abandoned cars/stranded people..........APART FROM PLYMOUTH!!! we must have a huge invisible umbrella over the top of us!!

  13. Jimmy John's sandwich shoppe offers a sammie called the Beach Club. It has turkey, provolone, alfalfa sprouts, onyun, mayo and cucumbers and fresh mashed avocadoes. It's a wonderful combination, especially with a giant dill pickle.

The avocado adds a richness to the sandwich I never would have believed.

You can also use thin slices of avocado in burritos or salads.

  14. Since we're on the topic of food (fancy that), I'm doing a corned beef and cabbage dinner in my new pressure cooker tomorrow. I did a pork loin and sauerkraut a few weeks ago that was wonderful. A little caraway seed and a can of beer added wonderful flavor. The pork was falling-apart tender.

  15. Ohh i love caraway seeds. I like them in home made coleslaw.

Posted 3 years ago by jRoc #

  17. hi jroc, one cuppa and one fluffy kit on its way!! how are you today?

Posted 3 years ago by Pika #

  18. Thanks for the cuppa and fluffy kit! I'm doing okay. Very tired from work, but at least I have a job which I am fortunate to have.

  19. Hi Pika and jroc! Yesterday my computer had a little picture of an igloo as the forecast icon! Today, it's a pic of the sun and a cloud, much better. The tops of my hands have been bothering me - attributing that to cold weather. Can't be age, right? :)

Posted 3 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  20. Hi Joan, Pika, JRoc..
Nah Joan, probably not enough cheese!! :)

Posted 3 years ago by SammyandOliversmama #

  21. Hi Sis! Hands bothering you? As in achy? Can be the weather. IBU and little heating pads may help.

Posted 3 years ago by jRoc #

  22. Hi SOM! I think you are right! Joan didn't have enough cheese!

Posted 3 years ago by jRoc #

  23. OMG!!! *runs to the fridge to get cheese* Ahhh...

Posted 3 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  24. All better!!!

Posted 3 years ago by jRoc #

  25. Morning, all!

Joan, igloos in the forecast cannot be good :) Thank goodness for sun, even with clouds.

Scary news from the world of what I do for a living - the Wall Street Journal has decided that they can do without their research staff (!). Apparently they think the reporters can do their own research - speaking from experience, I can tell you that this isn't going to go well. It's scary, though, because companies often think they can cut libraries when budgets get tight, and our company didn't do so hot last quarter (to put it mildly).

I think I need comfort food this morning; scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and some green chile sauce over everything.

On a brighter note, George was a good boy last night, and this morning hubby found a toy of George's that's been missing for a week, so we have a happy kitty.

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  26. Let's get you some of that comfort food! And a kitty for your lap!

Posted 3 years ago by jRoc #

  27. Hi Kilroy! That is certainly scary news. Schools won't be faring much better - there will be cuts, and they're not good ones. Comfort food coming your way. At least the TDK virtual cafe won't have to worry about cutting back on quality food.
I'm so glad hubby found George's toy; all is right with the world! Snuggles to George from Leela.
