Have you ever had someone look you square in the eye and say "no one is here today?" I just say "yep, I'm nobody." If anyone wants anything from you today, MM, just give them the blank look and say "it's my first day". I've been using that one for years. People leave you alone because they think you're crazy. Ahhh, works every time.

Congrats, Supervisor! And yes, it does count as your first day. It also qualifies you to delegate whenever possible.

oh yeah, I can handle delegating, but my department isn't here. I gave one girl the day off and the other called in sick. I know she isn't faking either.
