   My colleagues and I learned earlier today that our company was laying off seven people, including three in my department. I am not one of the ones who got cut, but my heart is aching for my co-workers. Please keep them in your prayers. Thanks.

   They are in my Prayers Catherine. I've been with a company before that was 'sizing down' where I knew I wasn't one of them to let go. So I also know the heartache your feeling also. {{{HUGS}}} for you.

   Oh man, how stressful. Thinking of your co-workers and hoping that their futures are bright. There's a lot to be said for the saying that one door closes, another opens. That is my wish for those caught up in the unfortunate downsizing that they didn't ask for.

   It will be hard to see them go with the economy so bad, but I will pray that they will have the skills for another company to see their value.

   Prayers and hugs for your co-workers, Catherine. I have experienced watching others being layed off while I was a temp. I was kept on and moved to another dept and I recall how everyone was so subdued. Scary times.

   You got it Catherine. I'm in the same situation. 5 from my department were let go this week. Close to 100 were let go in December.

    Will keep your co-workers in my thoughts and prayers. I know how that feels from both sides: I've been laid off in the past and, as a manager, have had to lay others off. It's so devastating to see the shock and pain in their faces and so hard to say good-bye when they leave.
