I am asking for nothing beyond prayers.
Our friend's mother had a stroke early this morning. She spent 20 minutes with no blood flow to her brain. The doctors are saying that she is gone. She is only 61 years old. Our friend called us this morning and we headed to the hospital. It's hard. Of course, he isn't ready to let her go. He is believing that God will save her. We are trying to tell him that if God still wants her here, it won't matter what the doctor says. But if it is her time, if she has fulfilled her purpose for God's pre-determined days on earth, there is no doctor that can keep her here. God is the great physician. He will do what is best regardless of what our science says. He has been taking care of his mother for as long as we can remember. Without her, he will need to find a new purpose in life. He is one of the kindest, most gentle men I've ever known, but his mother is the only constant he has had. Please pray that whatever happens, he will not become jaded. Please pray that he will meet the right woman and become the father that he is so driven to be. Please, and I am beggiing, pray that his faith will be strengthened no matter the outcome of this. He is a wonderful man. I don't know his mother well, but she raised my friend. The world has a shortage of men like him. Please pray that God's will is done and that my friend can find peace with whatever that is.
I'm sorry I've rambled. This is weighing heavily right now. I wish I could touch each of your hands and tell you what this man means to me. The power of the prayers od the TDK members is strong. We've proven that many times. Please put them in Sean's court right now.

MM I am sorry to hear about your friend's mother. How you talked about God the Physician it reminded me of the Order of St. Luke. The healing power of the Lord is the greatest. I agree that God is the greatest healer of all. My prayers are added to yours. If it is God's will may Sean's mother recover. If in His wisdom she is called home my prayers are that Sean can feel the peace of comfort of the Lord.
Not a ramble MM, heart felt love for a friend. Prayers of peace to you as well.

Will pray for your friend and his mother. Sometimes God's purposes and ways are more than we can understand. It's hard to lose a parent at any age, especially one you've been very close to for a long time. White light and prayers for strength through this crisis for you and your friend.

MM, so many needs. And one so young to have had such a devastating stroke. I am keeping him in my prayers, as I know the pain of losing a parent. But not one so young.

I know how hard it is to make the decision to let a parent go. I'm sending Sean my strongest wishes that he'll be able to make the right decision and that he'll find the strength to be brave no matter what happens.

Thank you everyone. We don't know anything new yet. Sean went to see his grandmother and talk with her. The final decision will probably be made today. Praying hard.

Prayers for Sean and his family. I hope that if the decision is to release her so that she may return home, that Sean feels the Peace that passes understanding and that he knows with a certainty in his heart that this is not the end for his mother. I hope he can clearly see her as restored to perfection and that he will see her again.
