  2. Hopefully Velvet just needs to have an adjustment in her medication. Those thyroid issues can be tricky. Continued prayers for Velvet, Deb, and Cheri.

    I'm keeping you, Cheri and Velvet in my prayers today. Lots of white light is being sent that Velvet gets her meds straigtened out quickly.

  7. OK, Velvet is back home from the Vet. They did a full blood panel and exam. Her heart and lungs sound fine. She has a temp and some gas in the intesines. They reduced her meds to once a day, gave me Clavamox and Famotidine to give her daily. They were having machinery problems so I have to wait for the white and red cell counts. They did a sub q injection as she is a little dehydrated. Other than to watch her and give her the meds, there is nothing anyone can do. She is a trooper and will come through this fine.

    Thank you all for you thoughts and prayers, I know it helped! I spoke with Cheri and she will be fine now when she calms down. We are both just so shaken by this. Velvet is such a special girl. All will be fine now, thanks again everyone!

  11. Aw, poor Velvet. Hopefully those antibiotics make her feel much better, and that it is nothing serious. Seriously, has Cheri tried talking to her on the phone? Poor girl misses her mama.

  13. Yes it was a scare. Now if I can just get the pressure to come down I would feel so much better.

    Update, When Will got home from school he called and I told him all about our Vet adventure. I asked him to pull out a can of stinky cat food (yes we have some) and Velvet was all about it! She perked right up for him and the canned food and ate well. I am soooo relieved. As long as she keeps this up, we will still be on track for the 28th when we have our reunion!

  22. How I missed this I will never know! I am so sorry you had this scare Deb. Thank God you had a vet to take her to and that she is on the road to recovery. You have been such a blessing to Cheri and Velvet and Spice. You will be a hero at the reunion in just a few short weeks. Prayers that recovery continues!

  27. Just a quick update, Velvet looks soooo much better today! She was not just laying there all limp. She was sitting up, looking around with her tail swaying back and forth. She took her meds just fine and was so happy to have more canned food (just for her!). While I am still cautious, I am encouraged!

    Thank you all for your good thoughts, prayers, and that incredible TDK white light! It ment so much to all of us.
