  1. One of my employees just got the results of her biopsy. She's got invasive breast cancer. I reassured her that medical science has come a long, long way in treatment. She's quite understandably scared though.
She will be fine. But she needs the strenghth to believe it.

  2. How scary to receive those results :( Bless her and her family, and may they find the strength to deal with this.

  3. My mother-in-law went through this for 14 years. She was told more than once she had less than 6 months. You are right--they have come a long way. A positive attitude--although difficult to come by--really can make all the difference. Again prayers of strength to you MM and prayers of white light and strength to your employee, may she feel the healing power of the Lord.

  12. That is a bad diagnosis, MM. Although treatment has come a long ways, much depends on the stage of the disease when the diagnosis is made. One of the best things for your employee is to develop a relationship with a breast cancer survivor. The American Cancer Society in your area should have a Reach to Recovery program. Hopefully the physician has made a referral, but they don't always think to do that.

  14. Lots of powerful positive energy to your friend, MM. My Mom beat it twice - in her 40s and again in her 70s. She's got the best additude ever, and it was definately a part of her healing process.

  15. One of the ladies here is a survivor and is talking to her today. A this was a survivor with a death sentence. In April, she will have been cancer free for 5 years. She went through chemo, radiation, and surgery. She lost her hair and everything.
By the way, this co-worker is almost a TDKer. She visits and looks at the kitten every day, but doesn't comment or come to the chat forum. She's got 7 cats in the house and takes care of some ferals.
