When Chloe met Mili - the sequel

(15 posts)
  1. It was one year ago today that Mili came to live me. Thank you Anncetera !!!
I was such a wreck! Chloe with her growling and hissing. Mili hiding under my loveseat for what seemed like forever ! I was in total despair. It was certain Chloe hated me and that Mili would live under the love seat forever.

Here we are, one year later and it's such a different story. Oh, Chloe still hisses from time to time; I don't think that will ever change! The girls play and chase and get along! They don't exactly snuggle, but Mili has been seen with her heard resting on Chloe's hind quarters - and Chloe 'allowing' her to do so. Hope springs eternal that one day they may still cuddle together. If not... that's OK too!

Chloe remain the Queen of the House, and surveys the world from the back of the couch. She'll come to my lap on occasion, but doesn't stay long. Mili has become a complete and total snuggle bug / lap cap.

I owe TDK so much for keeping me calm (well, trying their best!) during the introduction phase. And I thank Anncetera again for bringing Mili (Amelia) into my life.

A success story for those who are concerned about adding a new one to the home.

  2. 2P thank you for this. It is certainly reassuring to know about.

  3. Soo sweet. I'm so glad they get along now. I don't know why it is, but most of my friends who have cats that don't get along usually have 2 females. Even if they are raised together they usually don't jell.

  5. With my two kitties, Sylvester was not happy to have another cat come live with us and Mia of course hissed and swatted at him the first couple of days. Sylvester won her over and now she loves him. Mia will come and wash Sylvester's face and sometimes he will recipocate. I have caught them both laying together on the blanket that I have on the couch. I took some photos of them and will update my catster page one of these days.

  7. 2P I would like to Thank You not just for giving a loving home to Mili, but for allowing all of us to share in your wonderful journey. I really miss seeing Ann around her, but I know her schedule does not allow her as much time these days. So do we get to see 1 year anniversary pics of your babies??

  9. 2bp - it's hard to get a picture of the 2 of them together. When they are touching, they are in front of the window... makes picture taking challenging. I will work on it though !!!

  15. I also can't believe it's been a year since their introduction. It's so nice to hear that they like each other now. I can't wait to see new pics as well. I'll bet Mili has grown like a weed.

2P...do you have any suggestions on how I could acclimate my Hopper to not want to beat the living h**l out of my other indoor kits. Hahaha. I laugh because I seriously doubt he will ever shake the need to be territorial. He was out on the street his whole life until I caught him.
