I'm going to give these a try. As I mentioned on the Teeth Cleaning thread, Milo likes to chew on things and I've been looking for something for him to chew on. These have great reviews (if only 3!) and should help with cleaning the boys' teeth as well!

Will do, Marsha!
I'm going to order them tomorrow and also try another kind of regular chew thing. Mi should be happy. Don't know about Bobby, but it's worth a try. In any case, his teeth are easier to brush than Mi's. If you remember - last time I brushed Mi's teeth, I knocked out his front baby tooth :( -
Those do look helpful. Can you get your babies to just chew on one side so you can have the vet do a comparison test?

I knew I had seen something for cats to chew on. When I got the sample for my neighbours dog it was in the shape of a toothbrush that he chewed up. At that time I did some research to see if there was something for cats and found there was. Let us know how Bobby and Mi like them.

GD, please give us a follow up on this. I have a whole crew here who I don't think would ever allow this teeth brishing idea.

Here's what I'm getting for Milo:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00061MULK/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A29OHLD2C81PWO&v=glanceAs for the dental chews, they come in either fish or chicken flavor. I'm going to try the fish flavored ones. I'll keep you posted!

We would have to do fish on this end also. Mine are not too keen on chicken.
How is everything GD? Any news on the potential new job opportunity?Posted 1 year ago by Tigerlilly #

If they work to your satisfaction GD I may need to impose on my TDK friends to send them to me. I believe when I found them on the internet they were not available in Canada. I did see something interesting at Petsmart the other day when I was looking for Feliway. They now have some strips to put on your furniture. They are called something like sticky strips, are clear plastic but sticky so when your cat tries to sharpen its claws it won't like getting stuck to the strips. I must remember to mention it to people who talk about cats ripping their furniture. I don't need to look for things like this so maybe they were available before and I just didn't know about them but they seem like an excellent idea. Of course you can always use 2 sided tape but these strips are clear so they won't be an eye sore like the tape.

Petpntr, I have heard others with good reports on this tape. I tried it, but one of my girls, Kara, loves anything plastic or tape like. She loved it. Played and licked and scratched that tape until she could take it off the furniture to play with and chew it!! Let's just say, it defeated the purpose. It may work as long as you don't have a kitty like Kara

TL, I'm not going to talk about the job with the lady ntil after the tournament is over. She's too busy getting ready for the tournament. She prints all the 240 volunteers' uniforms - two t-shirts and a sweatshirt each and all the coordinators's shirts and a shirt for the players plus special tournament shirts, hats, bags, etc. that she's going to be selling in her tent at the tournament. We need the tournament over with first, and then we'll get to it.
I'll tell the boys they need to do a review on the dental chews for their TDK cousins. Maybe we'll shoot a movie.

Look forward to hear later then.
Yay, a movie review...something to look forward to.Posted 1 year ago by Tigerlilly #

Evening everyone, the chews sounds interesting. Those sticky strips for the furniture have worked for friends of mine, they wouldn't work for my crew. But then again, mine were never scared of the aluminum covering plants soil either, they just thought it was cool stuff that mum put out for us to play with...lol!

I might get them for Mavvy. He doesn't let me brush his teeth and had to have 3 pulled last year. I don't want my kitties to have bad teeth :(

I'll be so interested to hear how the chews work out! My girls are a little bit fussy about flavors but it would sure be worth a try. I got Windi these treats that are supposed to be calming. She wouldn't even grace them with a sniff.
