  2. Morn Abs, they are having eggs benedict and dirty potatoes at a tailgate party at the Daytona 500. I think I will have some of that and some strong coffee! Yum, chocolate pancakes???? Sounds iffy.

  3. Hi SOM! My grandma used to make pancakes with chocolate chips in them, cut up strawberries on top, and drizzle a little chocolate syrup over it all...... it was really good, maybe more of a dessert, but hey, this is virtural breakfast, so we can eat whatever we want whenever we want, and not gain weight, it won't effect our sugar levels or health, and it's just fun!! LOL!

Is the Daytona 500 today?...... I cannot watch NASCAR on TV..... lap after lap after lap, I become hypmotized...... (ok, don't throw shoes, I know a lot of people like it.....but lap after lap after lap.....I guess I'm like a cat and am easily mermerized!)

  4. Ooooh, chocolate... y'all know how to get my attention! Hot chocolate topped with whipped cream sounds like a marvelous start to the day.

Valentine's Day was spent in an exhausting, stressful, and wonderful way - helping Glenn move into my home. We had dinner out last night, and slept hard at the end of the day. Best doggone reason I've had, to celebrate Valentine's Day, in more than a decade!

  13. Terri! I'm glad you posted, a couple of days ago, I posted trying to remember the dates you were going to be in Wesley Chapel...... I discovered that Hubbs had traded our time share for 3/6 - 3/13 ... it was one of those use it or loose it trades because we've had a search for 2 yrs going for a ski-in/ski-out, but nothing came up. We therefore, had to trade our banked week before 3/31 or loose it.... making a long story short, I'm hoping that doesnt overlap the Sunday you'll be in Wesley Chapel, because I'll be gone :( .... the good news is, if you live in Wildwood, that's between Tampa and Gainesville where Son goes to UF, so next time I plan a trip up there, maybe we could meet for lunch!!!! Best case, the Sunday you'll be here is 3/15, and then I could drive up to meet for lunch in WC!

CM - there you just never know when the nights will be good or bad!!! {{Huggs to you}}} I hope you can rest some today!....... maybe see if Abbie likes NASCAR - lap after lap after lap..... it might make her sleepy!!! (just kidding all you fans! LOL)

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  14. HI AV, actually the wedding is 3/7, but it's only about 1 hour from our house to WC, so we could do it another day. or like you said, meet when you go to visit your son in Gainesville!

  15. Hi Terri, PM, CM, AnnC. What a wonderful way to spend Valentine's Day, now 2 reasons to celebrate!! Woo Woo! CM, yes, maybe NASCAR would be good for Abigail to sleep on! Abs, we don't go to the races either. I love the stock car races at New Smyrna Beach, more our style. BUT we love the people watching around here. PM, how's Polly doing?

Posted 2 years ago by SammyandOliversmama #

  16. Hi PM! How's Polly doing?

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  17. :( I was afraid that would overlap ! OK, we'll definitely had to try and arrange another Fla. meet.... you and I are only about a hour & 15 away.... Dee is here in Tampa, GD is in Boca, BC is in Vero, we should be able to do something where no one has to drive more than a couple of hours!

  18. Good morning, Everyone! And a belated Happy Valentine's Day!

We didn't exactly have the most romantic Valentine's Day ever. We had one of those "we must go to this" functions to attend. It was one of our high school's JROTC Military Ball. Catered barbecue, which the kids liked but it was a little on the yukky side. Then there was a dance afterward, which was a great education for Mr. WWM and me. I had never heard of the Cha-Cha Slide, or some dance called Soldier Boy that seemed to involve Superman. Finally they played a couple of slow ones for the more "mature" people in attendance.

One of the funniest things was watching the girls in their formals, many of which were strapless or had spaghetti straps. There seemed to be quite a few wardrobe malfunctions and much tugging up the top of the gowns. I think that Mr. WWM was secretly hoping for a complete break-down rather than a simple malfunction!

Hot chocolate sounds wonderful and then I am off to try and think what to do for breakfast!

  19. Morning, all!

Well, my V day wasn't anything special, although we did see a good play at the Irish Rep. I don't really care about Valentine's, though, just birthdays so that was OK. I did buy myself some chocolate today (but I went to the gym first).

CM, I'm sorry you had a rough night with Abbie; hope you can get a nap today.

Since I've already got chocolate, I think I'll just help myself to a cup of coffee as I head back to my housekeeping (bleah).

  20. Hi WWM and Kilroy..
I am off, I am taking Maddie to get her haircut then some lunch. When she goes for a nap I have to run to some stores. There is never a rest for the mommy :)
    Hugs to all!!

  21. Didn't Maddie just get a haircut recently, CM?

I had a loooong day yesterday. Got up at 6:30, opened the gym at 7:45, worked til one, drove to volunteer meeting for the tennis tournament and was there from 1:30 to five and got home around 5:30.

Got up at 6:30 this morning and spent a bit over three hrs. cleaning the dentist's office. XBF wants to play tennis. My achilles hurts from cleaning so I can't, which makes me feel bad because XBF isa bit depressed. He wanted to play yesterday and I didn't have time. Another friend wanted to meet for coffee, but it got too late since I had to clean the office first.
Tonight I'm meeting another friend for dinner and a movie.

The up-coming week will be crazy. I still have to come in to work at 2 so I can train the new girl, but I told them I can only do that til Wednesday. Thursday will be my first day at the tournament and I'll be there working it for a week and a half.

  22. And congratulations, Ann - that's awesome news! Glenn sure sounds like a keeper!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  23. Ooh Ann, I must have been skimming too fast earlier, I missed your good news - what great news! Yay! Talk about a super Valentine's gift. He sounds like a real keeper.

Hi GD! Yikes, you're busy as always; do you ever get a break?

I'm off to jump in the shower and then fix some bacon to go in the bacon & cheese sandwiches hubby wants to have for lunch. Be back later, probably.

  24. Good morning all!

WWM your just need to have fun and Crank dat Soldier Boy--have to admit Soulja Boy is very popular with my age group!

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  25. It's NOT Soldier Boy? I didn't see what it had to do with soldiers so Soulja Boy makes lots more sense!

Ann, I missed that, too!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  26. It is called Soldier Boy and the group that sings it is Soulja Boy. I can be pretty sure in assuming you heard the watered down version. Our last DJ put on the wrong one and I almost fell over--not to mention you should have seen how quickly he stopped the song and restarted the correct version!

Ann is very quietly sneeking someone in! Enjoy an beautiful life together!

  27. Kilroy, at least I haven't had any pet-sitting in over a month, so that helps. (though I did watch Old Boss' daughter for a long weekend two weeks ago).

I probably will be off TDK for the most part during the tournament - please email me if anything major is happening!
I have to be leave home at 6:15am to be at the tournament at 6:45am. Work til 4:00pm, run to work at the gym 4:30-9:00pm and then back to the tournament 9:30-midnight or thereabouts. Arrrrrgh! I'll be living on coffee!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  28. Okay we are back. :)
GD, Maddie got a hair cut about a month ago, but it grows fast and she keeps eating it, so we have to make sure it's out of her mouth's reach. It's causing a problem and we have to give her some medicine for it. She woke up and told me she wanted to go Bye Bye and get a haircut, so I said Okay! :)
Take it easy GD..remember to eat and breathe on your busy week.

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  29. still have to go out to jcpenneys...sigh

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  30. *panting*

Okay, now that I have gotten the instructional video of how to do Crank dat Soldier Boy I'm in search of a party before I forget my moves!!!!

Whatever happened to cool dances like The Hustle, the twist, the monkey.....

Thanks, SM, for that. It give Continuing Education a whole new twist!
