  1. You have no idea! Wait until you have been sandwiched in the middle of a group of them! I have one kid in my class that loves to 2 step. So he said we could 2 step at the dance since that was an oldie and I could handle it! Smart alec! I love chaparoning the dances. It actually lets me have some fun with them that I can't have in a classroom. I was called a drill sergeant this week--I knew I was doing my job!

  2. Good morning, CM, GD, AV, WWM, SM, Kilroy and Ann!

Congratulations on this new stage in your relationship with Glenn, Ann. I am very happy for you both. A man who understands how important your kits are to you has definite "keeper" qualities! :)

CM, it is no wonder you have lost so much weight with all of the mommy duties you are performing. It sounds like Maddie likes the mommy and me quality time she gets when she goes for her haircuts.

GD, I'm glad you were able to feed your "starving" boys with their favorite food. I wonder how much longer they would have held out. :)

SM and WWM, I haven't heard of that song or the dance you mentioned. I'll have to see if I can find it on YouTube. Is there video of you and Andy dancing to that song, WWM? ;D

I enjoyed a real pain au chocolate this morning so I'll just have more coffee please, AV. Mmmmmmmm!!

  3. KW, I gave them two whole days. Bobby even tried them - he usually just snifs but the other day he was hungry enough to try about 4 pellets or so.
    My poor babies!

  4. Here you go, KW - for your next dance!!! And no, I think that Andy won't be doing that anytime soon. And he was in his Dress Blues so that would have been quite a sight. *looks around carefully* He is missing a bit of rhythm :-( I think it comes from being forced to dance with other boys at school!

  18. Hey everyone. It's very windy outside. I was watching the weather channel and the guy said the winds have gotten up to 40 mph. All of CA has a winter storm alert. The winds have been howling for hours.

Today my boyfriend and I are celebrating Valentines day. We both worked all day yesterday, so we decided to wait til tonight to go out to dinner. I set up my gift for him, but I have a feeling he hasn't gotten me anything. I know it's materialistic, but I told him earlier this week that I've never had a special Vday, and I want something to remember. So We'll see what happens. I just hope I don't up end disappointed.

  19. Honestly, all that I could understand was Superman! There's nothing like going to a dance with a bunch of high school kids to make you think that the Smithsonian is interested in you!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  20. I think I heard SM too, WWM! lol

Posted 3 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  21. It's funny that you're mentioning the music and dancing---guess what happened at my sister's birthday dinner (at my parent's house) last night?

    Bet you'll NEVER guess! ;)

  22. Did you Crank dat Soldier Boy FH???

Posted 3 years ago by SoxsMom #

  23. Oh, Jymberry! You have to remember that guys just aren't quite as sentimental as we are! Mr. WWM and I had an agreement not to buy cards this year because we usually give each other seven or eight and hide them during the day for the other to find. So, I didn't buy cards - I made them! I was just convinced that he was going to write me a love letter. But he took our agreement at face value so I didn't get anything, either. At least you're going out to dinner and have a wonderful time!

  24. ROFLOL @ WWM. Smithsonian! Yes, there will be a large wing full of baby boomer memorabilia in it. :)

Hi, JB! I hope your Valentine's Day celebration is nice. You didn't ask for a pajamagram or a Vermont Teddybear, did you? 8P

Posted 3 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  25. Maybe it was the Cha-Cha Slide, FH?

KW, I'm afraid that the Smithsonian isn't after my memorabilia. I'm beginning to think that it might be my body that they are after. :-(

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  26. Haha no I didn't. I just told him that I wanted a special night. He has asked me what I wanted but I don't know if he's actually been shopping. He said he'd make Vday a good one, since he didn't have a job (and hence, no money) for my birthday or Christmas. So we'll see.

Posted 3 years ago by jymberry #

  27. JB my hubby was very unhappy with Valentine's Day this year. Normally I make a big thing out of it. I did nothing. We went out for dinner on Friday. My cold is in my chest and I have coughed up a storm--not terribly romantic. I think that you can have a Valentine type day any day you choose. I would like to not feel like the midtown bus hit me. You can teach him--and the fact that you are close enough to talk about expectations says a lot. I am praying that you will be amazed!

Posted 3 years ago by SoxsMom #

  28. SM--yeah, right! Hint--'Blue Suede Shoes'

Posted 3 years ago by FondaHonda #

  29. Okay - IT'S TIME TO DO THE CHA-CHA SLIDE!!!!

  30. I'm sure lots of men sweat bullets trying to figure out what to do for special occasions, JB. It may take some of the fun out of it, but providing as much information about what you'd like to receive or do helps big time! Hubby and I didn't do anything special, but we agreed that every day is Valentine's Day.
