It was a young Elvis--and, he had a great personality, too! Toward the end, I lit my lighter and was pretend-sobbing. He held my mother's hands and serenaded her and gave her a rose. It was really funny! He surprised my sister AT WORK on Friday, and my nephew had him come out to my parent's house last night, too, because my father was a huge Elvis fan.

We went to see Elvis in person a million years ago in El Paso. He was older, fatter, sweatier.... I wish that we hadn't gone because it was really painful to watch. I think that we all breathed a sigh of relief when he actually did leave the building!

Oh, I hope I'm not being too "riskey" in this, but Hubbs and I spent V-day just enjoying each other... from making love in the morning, to spending the day "hanging out" together, to (me) cooking great steaks... to golfing 18 holes....
After 24 year together, we are SO blessed with a wonderful marriage, good sex life, and great kids!!! I can complain about the economy, and us loosing
$$$$$$$ but you know what... so what!! we are still here, healthy, and we have each other!..... makes one think..... -

Good afternoon all. Sounds like some of you had a decent V-Day. Sorry you are still sick Soxsmom. Hope you feel better quickly. Same for Terri.
Well, I spent Valentine's Day apart from human contact but not alone as I had my two wonderful furry friends. Sylvester was extra affectionate and slept up by my head yesterday morning when I woke up in the wee hours. Mia came and slept down by my legs (leaning against them of course).
It is pouring rain here with temps around 50 degrees. What with the dampness from the rain it feels colder. There is a mourning dove who has hatched two baby doves in the tree outside my window. This morning she left them alone huddled together trying to keep warm for almost two hours. I started to worry but when I saw she was back, I was relieved.
So to celebrate Valentine's Day, I had a nice big mug of hot ghiradelli chocolate and some whip cream. I did it this morning too and shared some of the whip cream with Mia (sylvester doesn't like it).
