Thanks, ILMC - I'll get these. (sorry I missed the earlier post) I've re-discovered my love of reading; I owe most of it to the TDK book club. Plus, instead of books in boxes in the attic, they are now in an old bookcase that was up in our attic for 20 years. Hubby fixed it up, painted it and it looks...not too bad. We're not buying many new things; making do with what we have. I just finished "Ghost Rider, the Healing Road" by Neil Peart, the drummer for the band Rush. It's not about the band, but cronicles his travels as he takes to the road after losing his daughter and wife within ten months. That was a long book. Then I read "Morning, Noon and Night" by the late Spaulding Gray. We were lucky enough to see him in a small venue in north Jersey several years ago before he jumped off the Staten Island Ferry. Why, Spaulding? :(
I am now reading "The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul" by the late Douglas Adams, best known for "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

I just ordered the last 2 books - I'm running late. I've decided to read the Harry Potter series; my Mom has them.

Do we have a book for December? I have totally enjoyed expanding my reading tastes. I usually settle in with a mystery or stick with writers I know I like. Even if we don't do a book for December lets keep this up next year.

That sounds like a good idea to me, SM. They are good writers and they are usually quick reads (maybe because I can't put them down LOL)

I think I've read the Christmas Thief but not Santa Cruise. I will have to check--if I like a book I never mind rereading either. I'll be looking forward to Dashing through the Snow. :D

Will Dashing Through The Snow be the December TDK book? I also saw the Warrior series when I was at the bookstore the other day. I became very interested in them and I definately intend to start reading them. They are also not too long and could be read pretty quickly. I have to cram my funtime reading in between homework and work these days and I at least enjoy reading this thread and learning about the books all of you read. It's like a literary review!

I have not read either so I guess I'm out for this month...what are we picking for the next one...if we can't get ahold of ILMC let's just pick one and then get a list going again...it is so much cheaper to buy a couple at a time...
hope everyone's Turkey Day is going good...

I agree Alicia. I would like ideas and I will do the same as ILMC. Please mail suggestions to me--I'm on the card list. How about I go ahead with Dashing Threw the Snow on Dec. 1 and we do The Hour I First Believed on January 1. That will give MC some time to get ready--I am so glad she suggested it. I will take whatever I get withing the next few days and will create a list for the next few months. Alicia Dashing Threw the Snow is a very quick read--it is also a paperback.

SM, it will be too late for me join in on Dashing Through The Snow December 1st, but I read about it on Amazon and it looked great so I will read the bookclub threads. Who is the author of The Hour I First Believed and also will you consider looking into the Warrior books. I haven't read any but I intend to. I read a little of them in the bookstore and they look pretty good. And they are about cats!

I'll be enjoying the bookclub threads on Dashing Through the Snow as well; I don't have the book. I'm still reading The Hour I First Believed.
