It seems that alot of things are going on here with this site. People are leaving and things are very stressed out. I made a request to the TDK fund for a member and it seems the funds were not sent to help this person. I don't know if we have a breakdown here, members of the fund agreed to help, but nothing happenend to help this member four weeks later. I only hope this is not again one of these situations that we have been misled.

He is doing better today, thanks for your concern. The vet will come in a couple of days to check his hyperthyroid med and give him a check up.

I don't really know what's up with the TDK fund. I put in a request for another TDK member back in January. Of course, I wanted to pitch in myself , and never received a reply . I chose to believe that maybe there are no funds available, and that is why there was no reply.

Just a note here--I'm a member of the TDK Fund Committee and we have had several requests for money, and many of them we've agreed that something should be sent. However, as you all have said, nothing has been done, I don't think. There is one person in charge of the fund, therefore that person is the only one who can allocate the money. If she hasn't done it, I'm sorry. The rest us on the Committee will have to get together and talk about this. Again, I'm sorry. If someone would start a TDK Fund Request thread, I'd appreciate it and I'll see what I can do.

I was just called by the tresurer of the fund that the funds were mailed to the person in need and that they will look into this matter. If this is a mixup in communication between the two parties, I will take full responsibilty for this post.

Hopefully everything gets straightened out. I missed the post about Lucky; I hope the poor guy feels better soon. I've been through the hyperthyroid thing twice and sometimes just the change in meds is all that is needed. 13 is still pretty young for a cat, unless he has some other conditions going on.
