A Note On Rocky Finding A Home.......scarver 02/19/02

Thanks, to all of you wonderful people. Your enthusiasm, support, and genuine concern is just overwhelming. Thank you so much. As most of you know I have quit a bit on my plate right now dealing with my son and his situation and all. It has been one hell of a journey that's for sure. Finding Rocky a home is one less thing on my plate now and that is a "blessing". Also, thank you Catherine for offering with the transportation.

Just got back on. Let me know where you live SC and I will pick him up on Wed evening. I have lots of carriers. Does he need a big one? Or will he fit into a smaller one? I am looking forward to meeting both of you.

Hey Bobbi, I live in Oak Cliff, on the edge of Kessler Park/Stevens Park. In the Ft. Worth and Hampton area. If you will give me your email I will send you my address. Let me know what time Wednesday you would like to pick him up. Sometimes he don't show up until late, but most of the time he is ready to come in the house around 6 pm.. Rocky probably weighs appr. 12-15 lbs.. He could probably fit into a small carrier but he probably wouldn't be able to move around. Being it is a 5 hour or so trip, he would probably do better in a large one. What do you think? I am looking forward to meeting you.:) You will get to meet Ms. Sarah.:) The boys will all go hide and stay hide until your gone.:( You may get a glance of Mama, she will probably still be outside, but she usually stays out front.

Ok, I'm gonna get off of here - Smoking Gun is about to come on (I know, I find humor in the strangest of things). So I'll see you guys tomorrow. A pleasant evening to everyone!
Thanks again to Scarver and Bobbi for making this possible for me. And big thanks to everybody who offered to help out with Rocky's transportation and everyone who made me realize that I'm doing the right thing (that's all of you guys).
p.s. - I actually showed Rocky's Catster page to Mavvy and Huddy and told them that was their new brother and he'd be here in a week.

I'm just crying my eyes out, I'm so happy for Rocky. I had wished I could take him but didn't see how. And I just read the whole thread through and it amazes me how all the pieces came together--its right. On another note, it takes all day to drive across Montana, too. Thats why PaulaJeanne and I don't get together for lunch although I wish we could.

CTR, I was thinking that very thing earlier! Though I have made the trip to Missoula in one day *when much younger, I now have to stop somewhere in the middle of the state. I do think if I were transporting a lucky kitty like Rocky I would try though! Will be looking forward to next week and hearing about Rocky's homecoming!
