  1. Good morning, all!!!

Figured I'd start the cafe since I didn't see one. I haven't been around much the last couple of days. How is everyone?

I'm tired but having fun at the tournament. It's a relief to have my friend giving Bobby his pill every day so I have one less thing on my plate.
Thursday and Friday were spent picking up the ATP offivials, lines people, chair umpires and players from the airports. Today and tomorrow is the qualifying tournament for the main tournament. The four people who get through qualifying get into the main draw.
The main draw starts on Monday and it looks like there'll be some good tennis. My co-coordinator starts on Monday so I hope to watch some tennis then.

  2. Oooooop, forgot to bring food and drinks! Cracker Barrell is catering in to the cafe today and in addition to coffee, tea, juice etc. we have pancakes, waffles, grits, oatmeal, toast, bagels, hashbrown casserole, sausage, eggs of all kinds - whatever your heart desires!

I'm having hashbrown casserole and coffee, myself!

  3. Hi GD! .....late night for me last night! Hubbs' golf tourney is this weekend, so there are parties & dinners every night...... I'm too old to be a party animal anymore, it's taking it's toll!.......

..... I'll have a big breakfast, and make me a LARGE bloody mary, please :)

  4. Hi to Great Dane! I'll have a bagel...with peanut butter :)) and some coffee, please :)
Sounds like you had a very busy week! I'm glad you found someone to watch over Bobby and give him his pill.
It's hard for me to imagine it being nice enough to play tennis cos we are having a snow storm right now...grrrrrr! It ruined any thoughts of spring :((
Hope you have a nice day, GD....I am off to shower and get something accomplished today!

  10. The weather is nice here. It did get into the 40s last night (a mini cold front) but it'll be in the low 70s today and then warm up to the upper 70s the next few days. Perfect tennis weather!

I got into work yesterday to find that the old point of sale system had been shut off and that we officially had switched to the new one. Only problem: I was the only one who didn't get any training and they hadn't even set me up with a userID and password!!!! Idiots! They had all week to prepare for this. The other girl gave me her userID and password to use and a bunch of sales to put in the system because she hadn't gotten around to it. Well, turns out our inventory list had about 10 items on it instead of the about 120 needed!!!! Noone knew how to add inventory to the program so I spent 2 hours and finally figured it out and then 3 hours adding inventory so now we're all set.
Anyway, yesterday was a LOOOOONG day - but I sure got a lot accomplished!

  11. G'morning everyone! Off and about to Kinko's to copy photo's for the kids before it gets too warm, supposed to be almost 80F here today and that is more than warm enough for me so early in the year. I know, I know complaining about warm weather, sigh. Its Rodeo time here in Tucson and the golf tourney Match Play should start next weekend I think. Will probably be more people for that now that Tiger Woods has said he will come back this year.

  12. YAY, I was able to post on the new kitty! He was a bit early this morning!

    Where is everyone?

  13. Morning all! I will definitely have the hashbrown casserole and some pancakes!! Lots of carbs to keep me warm. Also, take some bubbling hot chocolate. I think we are looking at highs here in the 20s. The snow is falling down and it is just absolutely piling up everywhere. Good day to stay inside. Would love to be at your tennis tournament. Used to play tennis in high school back in the cave man days and was pretty darn good if I may say so myself.

  14. There's noone in the gym except two trainers. They're goofing around and one is teaching the other some kickboxing. I had 3 customers her since I opened 3 hours ago!!!
Got 2 hours to go til I can leave and go to the tournament.

Molly, why don't you play tennis anymore? I started playing at 21 and wish I had taken it up as a kid.

  15. Wish you and I lived closer! No one around me here likes to play. When spring comes around I am planning on looking to see if one of the local colleges or groups advertise "adult groups" looking for players. I really miss it. I was much better at doubles than singles.

    Posted 1 year ago by mollycat71 #

  16. I started out playing singles which really helped my ground strokes. Then I went to doubles because I had trouble finding people who would play singles. Now I play in two doubles leagues. This ares has a TON of tennis going on. Lots of junior tennis, especially.
Are ther any tennis clubs in your area where you could look to play?

  17. I am sure there are and I am really gonna look into this in the spring. How exciting! Getting back out on the court! Yay!

  18. Yay, indeed!

  19. Morning! My Tansey's not feelin' too good today :-( She got some pork roast last night. It was cooked in sauerkraut. I think her kitty digestion's off a little bit today. She's pooped ok, had water, just doesn't seem very lively. She's 15, has a little arthritis in her kittyhips, and has early kidney disease.

She's still purring and interested in us, just moving slow and sleeping. Didn't go hide to sleep anywhere, just not lively.

  20. Feel better Tansey! Hope your tummy gets well soon!

    Posted 1 year ago by mollycat71 #

  21. Awwwww, poor Tansey! I remember Petpntr recommending plain, unflavored yogurt for upset stomachs. I use cooked rice sometimes.
    Hope she feels better.

I'm off for now. Noone's left in the gym, so I'm skipping out of here. Have a nice weekend, everyone!

  22. ...runs into the cafe'. Anyone here???? No???? Well, I'll check back later.

  23. Come back! I am ready for lunch now!

    Posted 1 year ago by mollycat71 #

  24. I haven't been here in a while, but I'm trying to help the work day go a little quicker and join for lunch. Who ever heard of working on Saturdays?! Ugh. Haven't spent much time with my Smokey today but he was exceptionally huggy last night. I think he needs a buddy soon...
