Humane Centers are setting up programs to help pets

Our local Humane Shelter is setting up this new program to assist people who are in financial difficulty and are having a hard time feeding their pets. I wonder if other shelters are doing similar things. They are seeing a large increase in pets who are turned in simply because they can't afford them. That just breaks my heart.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all shelters could do this...as far as I know ours isn't.

it would be indeed. we need to realise that we are not the only ones on earth who need care, and helping our animal friends helps all!
