I hope that you are okay WWM. I am sure you are groggy and might not be on today. Lots of hugs.

Some of us have all sorts of reactions to the procedure. Last time I had one, I told the doctor, "I'm sorry you're not seeing my best side."
He asked his nurse if I had received any anesthesia. She said, "Emma seems to be resistant to anesthesia."
Then I tapped on the screen and asked if they had cable.

Calling nurse Windi and nurse Willow...Posted 2 years ago by Tigerlilly #

Thanks, honey!
I was awake through the entire procedure.
At noon the next day, the doctor's office called to see if I was up and moving, and were there any reactions. My husband laughed, and said "She's moving rocks in the back yard, and this morning she planted over 100 small pots of ivy."
There was a ragged sigh on the other end of the phone, and the nurse said, "I'll inform the doctor. You are in our prayers."

WWM, the girls are fine. They are having a very nice salon day with Grommet ~ they've painted their nails, and each girl got a special kitty massage; right now they are getting a "furr fluff" and each will pick out a special hair ornament to wear home, either a special bow or a beautiful flower; whichever they choose.... And when the girls are finished with their salon treatments, they can play here with Mac and Grommie until you get back.
I've packed a basket with some treats for you ~ including a package of chipotle cheddar cheese sticks, a chilled thermos of your favorite martinis, a lovely crabmeat quiche, two sweet onion and marscapone stuffed tomatoes, a split of your favorite wine, tiramisu for two, and a thermos of Mexican hot chocolate with kahula. There is enough for you and your hubbie to have a great dinner, so you don't have to worry about cooking tonight. I've also included a butter soft chenile throw (black, so it won't show any cat hairs) for you to snuggle with Willow and Windi. I'll send all of it along with the girls later this afternoon. Hope you're feeling better!

Thank you so much, Everyone!!! It just means more than I can say to realize that all of you were thinking about me - y'all are the best.
It went fine today. Last night was awful!! And to add insult to injury, when I jumped on the scale this morning I had lost only one friggin' pound!
This morning went fine and I had two great nurses. One of them has been in endoscopy for 20 years. I can think of places I'd rather be for 20 years, but I'm glad someone enjoys that. The other nurse was named David. Both nurses had on their hospital name badge and then below it a large badge that says "RN". David sat down to do my IV and said, "Hi, I'm David and (points to his RN badge) I am your designated Rectal Navigator. LOL!!!! I know that we were having what must have been a fascinating discussion when I rudely went to sleep.
I was awake for part of it, unfortunately. I sure hope that I didn't use my most colorful language!!!! *blush* But my BP was dropping so low that they couldn't give me anymore happy medicine. :-(
The best part is that the doctor didn't find anything unusual, so I am very, very relieved about that. I was worried because my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer when she was right around my age.
We came home and I think I took a very long nap. Which means that I'll pay for it tonight!
For now I'm happily digging through Kittymom's basket of wonderful treats. Thank you!
My girls were funny last night and stuck so close to me. I guess they knew that something was different.
Thank you, Everyone! I am blessed to have so many dear friends!!

Great news, WWM. I'm trying to get up the courage to initiate the discussion with my Dr.

It's yucky, PJ, but it's so important to have that done. You really do need to talk to him/her about getting it scheduled.

Well, you going through this and having the courage to discuss it on a public forum is giving me courage, so thanks!
