  1. The procedure itself isn't so bad - if you stay asleep through it. The prep however... that's a different story !!!

  2. No lies there, 2P!!!!!

  3. I was asleep during both of mine. Or rather.. I was half asleep for my first one. I can vaguely remember the nurses giving me instructions. Totally out for the second one. But then again, I was in the pediatric wing of the hospital at the time, so that's probably why.

  4. Glad all went well and that the results are negative. Sending you soothing thoughts. Nice to have "velcro kitties" when you aren't feeling good.

  5. Oh, how I wish I had been asleep.

Oh, how my doctor wishes it even more!

  6. I still think I had too much sleepy time juice (Versed). LOL I was whacked out for the whole day following the procedure! I don't remember the ride home.... good thing I had people tag-teaming to stay with me.

  7. I was awake right after it. I remember trying to push myself up into a sitting position with a needle in the top of my wrist, right where it bends. Did NOT feel good! But I got a wheelchair ride to the car, so that was cool

  8. 2Pop, no such thing as TOO much sleepytime juice!!!!!
Jym, you are so young to have had that procedure!

  9. I was so zonked Katt.... LOL My friend just kept telling me; what happens in post op, stays in post op! Glad she is a nurse LOL

  10. WWM, so glad all is well on the other end! YAY! Everyone should have one! The prep isn't fun but well worth it! I have two a year so I am a pro at it. I don't even take happy juice anymore (though highly recommended if you haven't done it before), I work in healthcare so I prop myself up on my pillows and watch the whole thing on the TV monitor. The doctor tells me the whole time what is going on. I find it curious as I don't have most of my colon and everything is re-routed. I think for me the worst thing is when they take you to the "recovery room" and tell you that you can't go home til you have "passed gas". Every five minutes someone pokes their head in and says "You farted yet?". I want to scream!

  11. 2Pop, yup, I sure felt relaxed and rested and I have heard about some of the things that are said while under!!!!!!!
    MC, LOL!

  12. Wow, MC, nothing like having someone ask if you have passed some gas. To me that would fall under the TMI area.

  13. *chuckles at SMM* apparently you've never undergone abdominal surgery or a colonoscopy. The nurses gotta know....

Posted 3 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  14. Yes... Nurses need to know.... Just remember though, if a nurse comes into your hospital room and hands you a pillow after surgery and tells you to "hold this to your chest and cough for me, please; it will make you feel MUCH better...." THEY'RE LYING!!!!! It hurts like he!! They just don't want you to have fluid build-up in your lungs (or so they say)

  15. Yes, WWM is back and everything is fine! I've had 4, and been asleep thru all of them..... to me they're really no big deal, and the prep, well, it is what it is, but I do like to fast every so often anyway, so I don't mind too much! Glad you're ok!

  16. oh wwm - didn't know you were having a procedure. delighted to see that all went well for you. the prep is the worst part, the rest of it, you are oblivious to. i had my first procedure over two years ago, i am due for another one toward the end of this year. it can take its time getting here!
but i know it is a test that can save your life, so the very minor discomfort is well worth it.

i hope you are taking it easy today, and that mr. wwm and willow and windi are attending to you, i'm sure they are releved that all went well.

thanks for your message on miss snowy, it was kind of a miracle that all turned out so well. she is back to herself, a little bossy with miss busy and always looking for me to open a new can of food. my second persian, miss bebe, is not thrilled with the return of miss snowy, but is behaving like a good girl and they are each staying out of each others way. will keep everyone informed if there is anything new to report. rest up wwm, and try not to overdue for the next few days. regards, bobby

  17. {{{{{{{{Bobby}}}}}}}} I was just so happy about Snowy!!! Didn't I tell you that was exactly how it happened with my Mandy? I love happy endings!

Well, I am off to have dinner and watch some horrible movie that Mr. WWM has rented from Netflix about Mongolia. But no worries - I'll sleep through most of it!
