   Thank you both for taking in and caring for Sterling a/k/a Rocky until Fate brought him to me. He is a loving, sweet boy and is settling in with his brothers pretty well. Only a couple of hisses this morning.

   Huddy hissed at him last night and Sterling just looked at him and sort of shrugged, like, "And?" It was pretty funny.

   We played with the feather toy (all 3 joined in) earlier this morning. He slept on the bed last night with his brothers, though he slept all the way at the foot of the bed. When Huddy and Maverick got up to get breakfast this morning, he made his way up to me and laid down in my arms and went to sleep purring!!!

   He really is a beautiful boy, just a little smaller than Huddy but bigger than Maverick. He has the sweetest expression on his face - Scarver you were right - he just wants to love and be loved.

   I am so thankful to you both for making this baby the sweet, loving, purr-monster he is. He loves for me to carry him around too.

   Still no pictures - I took some, but nobody was staying still so it was sort of hard, none of the pics really came out very well.

   I just wanted to let you both know that you guys are awesome. And thanks for the cup of hugs too!!!

    HOB, i'm with you, it was fate - meant to be! For a cat to bond so quickly with his new momma, and get along so well with new brothers is, well - remarkable! The "kitty angels" certainly had a "paw" in that match! Best of luck, keep us abreast of things today!

    Wow! This really made me smile! It had to be Fate! Normally it takes a little longer for the new guy to fit in but he literally moved right in. Betty and Wilma are dancing the happy dance for Sterling and his brothers! I am smiling ear to ear for you HOB! Please keep us updated on him, pictures when you can!

    Good morning HOB, thank you for posting. So, Sterling it is, huh? Great name, and I think it fits him well. Last night was his first time to ever sleep on a bed. I can't seem to stop crying (tears of joy) for him. He so deserves all that you have to offer him. Thank you so much. It sounds just like him to sleep at the foot of the bed, not to invade his brothers space. And waiting patiently for his turn to snuggle up in your arms and go to sleep. I bet when they were playing he didn't try to bogart the toy? He is so patient and respectful, it is one of the things that made me love him so. I told you he liked to be carried.:) Now you know what I meant, huh? And yes, he not only wants to be loved, he actually wants to give love, and I think that is very sweet. Now you know why it was so very hard to let him go and why we miss him so. I truly believe he is a special kitty. Will you please tell him that Rebekah and I did not send him away because he was bad or because we did not love him? That we did it because we "did" love him and we just wanted him to have a special home with a special mommie and his own family. I know, maybe I'm being a little over dramatic here, but I just can't help it, I just get so close to animals. I know and believe that they have feelings and emotions and it hurts my heart knowing that he may think we were mad at him or didn't want him. I will be waiting patiently for more posting from you today. Have a great day with all 3 of your boys.

    Scarver, I want you to know that I think was you did was a totally honorable thing. I am so proud of you for putting Rocky's needs before your own. You knew that you couldn't care for all your kits so you found him a home where he could receive all the love he ever needed. You know HOB will be here and give you constant updates on him. Plus I am certain she will add him to her Catster page soon. I know the pain you feel. I think most of us do. I think we all have a special affection for our pets, that is why we are in this site, that is why we post, and that is why we all get along so well with and relate to each other. We just "get" each other. About five years ago my now ex and I split and we had two cats we had gotten as babies. They were a boy and a girl who were inseperable. I automatically assumed I would get them because he was never around (he travelled so much for work). He said he was taking "his" cat (the girl). I said "no way" because he could not ever break them up. They had an unbelieveable bond having never been apart. They were lost without each other. The fights about it were horrible, I was not gonna lose my cats. I could care less that he was taking off with another woman and all our furniture, all our belongings and had spent all our (my) money on the bi$%#. The cats were another story. He got very mean, I saw a side of him I never knew exsisted. Finally I knew he wouldn't back down so I had to give up my cat as well. It was the most gut wrenching painful thing I had ever done. But I put the kits needs above my own. Amazingly enough the woman he "hooked up" with became fast friends with me and called me with updates. They didn't last long together but she ended up keeping the cats when they broke up. She offered to drive them from Florida to Illinois for me but by that time I had Betty and Wilma. It took a long time for that pain to go away but it did and I know you are strong and will be blessed for your good deed. It's ok to hurt right now. Just hug your babies a little extra hard right now.

    Oh, Scarver, I told him last night that he was probably sad inside and missing you both, but that you guys would always love him and think he was special. I also told him that you weren't mad at him and he'd done nothing wrong, that he was here because you loved him and wanted him to go to a good home.

    He didn't bogart the toy at all, only joining in when it came his way. He is VERY respectful. I just love his deep rumbly purr.

    You are not being overdramatic at all, and I can see why you miss him so. He and Maverick are under the bed right now taking a nap (I just went to look).

    Thank you both so much for being so unselfish and caring.

    This is so wonderful! Hugs to HOB and her family and to Scarver and hers! Scarver, I'm sure he knows you did this so he could have a better life. I'm sure he misses you both but thanks you in his kitty heart that you were able to let him go....

    and hugs to bobbi who was instrumental in this, and did something like this before...didn't bobbi take in a kitty that Fonda Honda needed a home for? This place is full of wonderful people!!!!!

    I'm all misty now....Thank you again Scarver and Rebekah for all the love and attention you gave Rocky!
    HOB...Enjoy your new baby! Now there's a small, med. and large in your house! Can't wait to see pics of the boys all together...that may indeed take a while if they're anything like mine! =)

    Thank you all...mine was the easy part!! And worth every penny to bring so much joy first to Scarver and Rebekah and now to HOB!!!

    Thank you HOB! You see, God or the "kitty angels" really did make this all happen. He and Maverick are already taking a nap together under the bed. Huddy and Maverick know Sterling was meant to be there, they have already excepted him. He had been coming inside our home for weeks, maybe a month or so, and our boys still wasn't letting him go past the living room or dining room. He did come to the office a couple of times, but soon as one of the boys seen him he went running back to the living room. It was so unfair. But he don't have to worry about none of that now.:)

    Scarver, I can apprieciate how you feel right now. I will not have Velvet and Spice after tomorrow afternoon and I keep getting teary thinking about it. While this situation with Cheri was never ment to be permentant, I can't care for an animal without caring about it. I'm so happy for Cheri and I'm very exicited about the meetup here tomorrow it's still very bittersweet.
