  1. I am on the outside of Phila and we are about to be slammed with a major snowstorm tonight. I know that we have friends on the east coast and they have already been hit. Alabama had four inches, I think Tennessee had about the same, but very bad conditions on the roads. I hope our friends in these areas are ok and look forward to hearing that all of us are doing well. This storm will move to the northeast and Cheri and all those in NY will be effected as well. Please keep us posted on your situations.

  2. Please be careful out there, Lynn. I'm keeping all on the East coast in my prayers that people and kitties stay safe and warm through this. Thank goodness, Bobby's Snowy found her way home!

  3. Lynn, be careful!!

My brother and sister in law in MA say they are going to be snowed in tomorrow. They are supposed to get 8 - 12 inches tomorrow night, and it's been snowing there all day. Why didn't it do this when *I* was up there? :(

Hope all our East Coast TDK family is safe and sound.

  5. Hey HM, long time no talk! I hope your brother and Sil will make out ok. I think we will be hit harder than them, which is not normal. Keeping everyone in our prayers, since the people in the New England area have had enough.

Sending bacon, ribs, potato salad, cheesy potatoes from the grill to my friend!!!

  6. We are fine out West, Lynn. Nothing but steady rain which we actually need. :)

  7. Glad you need the rain, KW and are getting it. Do you own a shovel and want to make a trip out here!!

  8. ((LYNN!!!!))

I think they'll be ok, but they are not looking forward to trying to get to work in the morning. Awwwwwww, man, I'm hungry now! lol Take care, sweetie. Don't be a stranger.

  9. As a matter of fact, I do have a snow shovel. I use it in the fall when I'm raking leaves. :D

Posted 1 year ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  10. Please be careful out there.

Posted 1 year ago by Buttercup #

  11. Oh, great, KW, leaves?? I need to move out there! That I can handle. 10+ inches of snow, not so much. Hoping to catch the plow man and give him $20 to shove the snow to the house twice, one for us and one for Steph, when she comes with the baby. Much easier on our backs and lungs.

Hm, sorry to make you hungry!! I won't! So good to see you.

  13. This storm missed us. We have plenty of sunshine, but it is very cold. I really feel sorry for the people in Atlanta and other southern places - they are not used to this much snow.

  14. JF you are lucky! We have at least 8 now, maybe more. We can't be more than 15 to 20 miles south of you! SNOWDAY!!!! Yea! Mr. DCH is waiting until noon to crank up the snowblower. Kitties are not exactly thrilled with it all, except for Schatzi who apparently LOVES it. He was so funny on the porch, pouncing on the snow and sliding on purpose!

At this time we have about 13" and drifts about 4' we are supposed to get another 3 to 4" when all done! Our county is in a snow emergency as the wind is blowing so the roads are really bad because the wind is just recovering them. I live on a busy road and people are out and about and we've had 2 accidents so far out in front nothing bad just hitting the guard rails! I'm planing on going out and getting pictures! I'll post the link here when I have them!
    Dear lord
Please send the snow shovel angels here to do my driveway!
    Amen!

  16. Here in NYC we are supposed to get at least 10 inches. There is definitely a lot down so far and still a lot to go. Of course, school is not canceled...here is to a long treck on the slippery sidewalks to school instead of going out and playing :(

  21. I think that I would like to be snowed in - maybe for a day. Just to see what it's like. Supposed to be 80 here today and once again we are on heightened fire alert status. :-(

I just heard that the city schools are closed 1st time in 7 years!
    Be careful my friend!

  23. Be careful out there, Gini! Hubby walked me to the subway this morning, or I think I would have ended up on my butt on the sidewalk. It's still coming down hard out there. That stinks about Hunter not being closed.

I'll be happy when we hear from Joan; I hope she's safe and sound.

  24. 2bp - Did Dorie just say "bite me" to us??????? :-)

Posted 1 year ago by WillowandWindismom #

  25. Thanks KR I'll try my best to be safe! I live a seven block walk from school so it shouldn't be too bad. I'll leave a good fifteen early and walk slow though. The sidewalks are still covered over here and it looks pretty slippery. Glad you made it out ok! :)
