Well they did make my brother and SIL go to work this morning - but both will be gone by 12, which it is right about now. My brother sent me a phone video from where he works - it was a total whiteout.
I don't know if those 2 videos will run. But the voice isn't Jim Cantore, it's my wacky brother shooting vids from his job.

Holy Guacamole, Dorie - what is all of that white stuff???? We used to live in NY and I remember one time it snowed 24" in 12 hours. Of course, being a Texan, I had never seen anything like it. We lived on an Army post and the MP's said that we had to keep our driveways shoveled. I tried but couldn't even stay ahead of the snowfall. Then I began to realize that I was the only one out shoveling. Apparently the others knew for the snow to actually end before shoveling!

In storms like this we do my Driveway every 4 to 5 hours as most NYers do This way your not killing yourself shoveling! So Your not a dumb Texan, You must have lived with dumb Nyers!!
At this point were at about 16" and it's still snowing but not as hard as it was! I'll be going out in a little while to re do the driveway! My sil/neighbor Carlos did it about 3 hours ago with the snow blower(It's new to him and he finally can use it, He'll get over that quick!) but there' another 3" now so i'll do it the old fashioned way with a shovel!

In southeastern VA we had about 3-4". A drop in the bucket compared to NY. But I'm glad that was all we had...my husband is in Fort Worth on business and this is the first time I've had to shovel and clean off the car in years! I really hadn't missed doing it.

Hi everyone! About 12" at my house. We had a snow day yesterday - yay! I got to stay in and play with Leela all day by the fire!
This morning it was 8 with a wind chill of -4. I'm sooo done with winter!

I'm still bitter that I didn't get a snow day with a foot of snow...haha. Very few people were at class yesterday. I had a lecture hall that usually has 80 people and we had MAYBE 20 there. In another class my teacher didn't even bother taking attendance because he said he didn't think we should have school anyways.
Right now there is a giant ice patch on the street outside my window. Every time the stop light turns from red to green, the second car in line skids adn gets stuck and everyone honks like crazy at them. This has happened literally EVERY time the light has turned green since about 6 AM. It's starting to get on my nerves. I feel so bad for all the drivers, though. It must be a nightmare.
