Hi all, late getting on line today, I've had MAJOR drain clog problems this morning, then rushing to get to my "spa", and yes, I mean the real kind of treatment at noon......... luckily the relaxation has cancelled some of the "frustration" from earlier out, so I guess I'm kinda "wonky" too! My daughter has so much hair that if we don't clean her shower drain out often, it grows a large blond animal in it! LOL

  2. AV, I know what you mean about the hair clogs! It seems everytime our daughter comes home, when she leaves, we have to use draino to free up the drains! She has thick, dark hair....with all we find in the sink, tub, and floor, it's a wonder she has any left on her head....LOL.

  3. My brother speaks fluent German, he took it from 6th grade all the way through 12th grade and then took a couple of years in college. Whenever anybody asks him where he learned to speak German he tells them "The Black Forest" tee hee hee hee

    He'll be here in 2 weeks and I'm so excited I can't see straight.

  4. HM, I am sure he will be excited to meet his new nephew!!!! My husband speaks some German. He used to be fluent, but 20 years of not having enough practice has eroded his skills. I bought a cd to start learning German, but I can't understand the pronounciation and it didn't come with a book. Oh well it was in a bargain bin so what do I expect!

  5. I need to learn some German if I want to converse with my Aunt when I visit her possibly in 2010 or 2011. She doesn't speak English much at all and is now 83 years of age. I do not think she will be learning to speak any English now.

  6. I also got a bargain bin Frence CD and even having had several years of French, I can't follow some of what they are saying without having a book to look at.

    Did I ever get to show you guys who I got to meet at his book signing at the Seminole Hardrock Casino? .... and yes he IS as cute in person as he is on TV! His cookbook is good too and he's from down under....... MS, KK, where are you?

    I also have pictures with Wolfgang Puck, Paula Dean, and Martin Yan.... but I can't find them on my old computer. I was looking at Curtis' cookbook this afternoon for dinner inspiration, and I found this one on my new computer!

  15. ... awww you guys are sweet (or need new glasses!).... he's only 32 or 33, I turn 51 this year!!!...... no boy toys for this old lady, Hubbs and I still float each other's boat after 24 years of marriage!!! hehehehehe

  17. ....speaking of dinner, I think I'll make a ginger/sesamee salmon, with fresh squash and balsmic/parmasesan mixed vegetables! Daughter said today that she wants some "mom's good food" because she's been eating too much junk food lately...

  24. I found it, Dee - thank you! I had completely missed that because I was waiting for that worthless maid, Hazel, to show up. No yeast - I think that I could do this one! I don't have any Guiness but will buy a bottle. Probably Old Milwaukee Light just wouldn't do it, huh?

  25. Dee that is a good receipe - similar to one I have called "beer bread"! You know what would go nicely with that - the chile/jalapeno dip that WWM got addicted to over the weekend.....

    ..... and IF Hazel ever shows up again..... I've got the snot gun loaded and waiting.......!!!! CLEAN THAT UP HAZEL!!!! LOL

  30. LOL! I bet that Jalepeno spread would be awesome with that bread! Yum! Those are both great recipes! We are getting together this weekend for my birthday but I think I will bring both of those things! Huh! Imagine that! Me bringing something for my b'day!
