Just got a call from him and the news isn't great. At 8 AM they were talking about him coming home-by 10 AM they would not even let him get out of bed. Every time he got up his heart would race and his blood pressure shot up to 175/120.He also gained 3 lbs overnight, indicating that his congestive heart failure was increasing. His voice was teary and scared when he called. I am so worried. I WILL go up there today even if I have to use my wheelchair like a car and wheel myself up there. Keep you posted.

Just got home from a visit with my guy. He is so exhausted, and every time he gets up or tries to walk even a little, he is out of breath and his heart begins to race. I wasn't able to talk to the doctor, but Victor said they were putting him on a different med that worked like Lasix in getting rid of water buildup, but also could slow the heartbeat at the same time.He couldn't remember the name. I hope it works. Did us both a world of good to see each other, even though the visit was only an hour-I did get a couple of smiles out of him! :-)
Now I am going to try to get some rest. Got 3 hrs sleep last night and I'm fading. Also realized I've lost 18 lbs since he has been sick since Dec.
I can afford to lose it, but I don't recommend it as a weight loss method!
