   The tennis tournament ended last night and this morning I took the last of the umpires, lines people and the doctor/trainer to the airport. I'm done for a year!!! I may just have enough time to rest upfor next year :)

   I'm SO beyond exhausted right now and it'll take a few days to get back to normal - and lots of sleep!
   This morning, I got up at 3:15 to go meet two people at the hotel at 4:00 and take them to the airport. Was at the tennis center at 4:45, but they don't open til 6:00, so I napped in the back of the car for about an hour. The old coordinator came in with coffee at 6 and then we spent an hour or so taking down the tent where she'd been selling tournament merchandise. At 8 I picked up the next group to take to the airport. Then more tent packing, packing up all my stuff (gas receipts, waivers, and other paperwork), and made yet another trip to the airport at 12:30 before I was finally done.

   I had a lot of fun, though. People were very pleased with transportation, so I have secured a job again for next year's tournament!

   I missed everyone here, though and will have to try and catch up.

   Awww GD! you did an awesome job, and should be very proud!.... we've missed you, but have at least had a "peep" into the busy life of GD from you "popped in" posts!!! Hope things work out with GG, and glad you have secured a spot for the tourney next year!!! Yeeeaa GD!

   YEA! The tourney is over and it was a success! Good for you, NOW GET SOME SLEEP! We will be here! Snuggle with the boys, they missed you! I know they saw you a little but not enough. Then, schedule time with GG, see if it goes anywhere! Whoo hoo!

   Ooooh, a date! :)

   The woman who's in charge of all the linespeople and umpires at the tournament told me this morning to email her if I want tickets for the upcoming tournament in Key Biscayne (end of March), so I'm going to take her up on that. The tickets to that tournament start at $50.00!
   Now I just have to see if maybe GG would like to come with me!

   I met a lot of nice people at the tournament. I took a ton of pictures adn I'll put them on Multiply tomorrow for everyone. We're not allowed to take pictures or anything from the players, but I've got pictures of a bunch of volunteers and stuff.

   Unfortunately there was noone taking pictures when I crashed the policeman's segway! :)

   Molly, my poor boys pretty much had me between 1am and 6am - asleep. Poor boys!

   Um, is there a story as to why you crashed the policeman's segway???? Sounds like that would be a good story! Are the Bob and Milo happy to see Mama?

   The boys are very happy when I get home at night, Molly! Poor babies!

   The cops at the tournament were driving fancy police segways and I'd been eyeing them for days and telling this one cop that I wanted to ride it. One day I was walking in from taking a player to his car when I stopped and asked when I was going to get to ride the segway. The guy said "right now" and stepped off it. I did okay and drove it into the parking lot for a bit. When I came back - all proud of myself - I went to step off it and somehow managed to drive it into a post! Ooops! It got a huge scratch on it! The cop hurried up and saved it from me and that was the end of my police segway driving! :(

    Should I toss the gym-goers out early? Hmmmmm - I like that idea!

    Cuddling with the boys would be great. As for something nourishing, I haven't really been home in 12 days, so even if there IS something to eat at my place, I'm sure it's no longer edible!
    I'm planning on meeting a friend for coffee tomorrow - hopefully LATE - and I'll have a nourishing breakfast instead.

    As for the bed - I doubt I'll need one to go to sleep at this point. I could fall asleep anywhere right now!

    GD, just reading what your day entailed has left me feeling exhausted. I wouldn't be at all surprised if you now needed 2 days non-stop sleep to get back on an even keel. I hope you are properly appreciated by the tennis tournament organisers.

    I'm still exhausted! I went to sleep around 10:30 last night but got up with Bobby a few times because he was crying. I slept til 9:00! Yay! Met my friend for coffee at 10:00, ran to Target for a few things and now I'm back home.
    I'm going to take a nap before leaving for work at 4:00, because I'm still so exhausted.
    It seems I've taken a vacation from my life for 12 days and now I'm trying to get back into the swing of things but it'll be a while.

    Hi GD...What fun to see you "in your element" with those pictures....it really must be quite a production! Bet you'll be glad to have things back to "normal"...The boys will be thrilled to have their Mom home more often :)

    GD, glad you are back, that your time at the tournament was a success and that now you can get some well earned rest. Definitely need to make a trip to the grocery store and get some nourishing food. Sending you some hugs and scritchies for Bobby and Milo.     GD..Glad you're back and the excitement has closed for another year. Whew!! Your stories exhaust me just knowing what your schedule has been..lol. As tiring as it must have been to keep up with everything, I suspect you really loved being involved with so many wonderful people working together for your favorite sport. =)
    I'm so happy Bobby and Milo have their mommy back home.

    This is definitely the kind of thing I really enjoy! One of the girls at tournament desk asked me how I could manage to be so patient with the old guys that were driving for me and getting lost, running late, etc. I told her this is my 6th year with them and because I've gotten to know and genuinly like them, I'm patient with them because I like and respect them. When we're not stressed out and busy, we have a great time!

    Bobby and Mi had me home by 9:30 last night until 4:00 this afternoon, except for an hour and a half outing with a friend for coffee and they were happy. I'm happy to have found out that I can get Ellen to take care of Bobby and that now I should be able to go away if I want to and have her watch him for me.
    I got her a t-shirt from the tournament and am looking for something else for her as well. I know she doesn't want me to pay her, so maybe I'll get her a gift certificate to Sports Authority or something so she can buy tennis clothes. ANd a picture of Bobby!
