Oi.
Having no computer at home as been nice at times, and boring at others. I couldn't get any homework done, since most of my art classes are computer based. I couldn't get my last portrait of Milo done. And I couldn't get anything printed out.
On the other hand. I bought a new couch! I had a metal futon before, and half of it was broken. But I now have a hide-a-bed couch that's blue and comfy. I love it.
I went to a baby shower on Saturday afternoon for an old work friend. It was awkward since I didn't know anyone. I sat around idly chit chatting for an hour and a half. Nothing got done, and I had to get ready for a birthday party later that night, so I bounced. I spent a little bit of time at a friends house, trying to find a tattoo parlor I want to go to. Then I drove out to my friend's neck of the woods. Dinner was supposed to be at 8. I was right on time. I called my friend to see where she was, but she was still at home! She didn't arrive until 845 because she got stuck in a DUI checkpoint. Since we had a large party, the host said it would be 45 minutes to an hour for us to be sat. Fo some reason he wrote down that we had 5.5 people. At about 930, our party of 10 were taken to a 6 person booth. We had to sit around for another 20 minutes before finally getting a table. The food was bad, the service was good. Her sister complained about the wait time and we all got free meals.
We then went to a bowling alley where the wait time was 3 hours. So we went and played pool in their billiards room, and I rediscovered how much I like playing pool (even tho I'm horrible at it!!)
I was at work last night til after 10. We usually get out of there no later than 930. New management sucks. Got up today at 645 for class and did practically nothing since I couldn't prepare for class. Now I'm here!
