  1. Well, PMUK, that was beautiful. I am really crying like crazy right now. That poem you wrote for Polly is absolutely wonderful. It had to be hard for you to share that with us all and I want to say thank you. Having been there when 3 cats were put to sleep I know just what those words mean and it really struck me. Guess you really never get over the furry friends that pass thru your life. Its really moving. ((((KK family))) ((((PMUK))))

  2. Thanks PM - that was a lovely poem and I am so touched you shared it. I've been working at home today as I am in no state to appear in the office. All your thoughts and kind words and hugs have been wonderful and I will share them with miniKK and MrKK tonight. MiniKK's eyes looked only slightly less puffier than mine this morning - but she is holding up OK and going to a friend's after school. Dara is getting lots of cuddles and slept on the bed with me last night.

  3. I was looking at Spike's catster page...I had forgotten what a very photogenic boy he was. And very handsome! Esp love the baby kitty pics of him on the drying rack and Dara looking up at him :)

  4. I too, went to your Catster page and looked at Spike. He was quite handsome. Please give extra squeezes to dara from me and Betty and Wilma

  6. How is Dara? Is she missing her brother?

  7. KK, I am so very sorry. Lots of tears here in Texas for sweet Spike. The boys and I send hugs, purrs and lots of love to you.

  8. We understand now why Dara was so vocal last week - she must have known he was over the fence and she even went over there on Monday night. She's still missing him but has already started her new harassment campaign - digging on his burial site - gotta smile.

  11. I'm so sorry to hear of Spike's passing, but at least you have closure now. And Spike will be there at the bridge, waiting for you...

  12. Dara! You knew all along! You are a smart kitty!

  13. pmuk - what a beautiful poem. thank you very much for sharing it. maybe someday, all the very talented writers and poets in tdk land could arrange to have some of their written works compiled into a central location, almost like a reference book, with sections such as "living with cats" "cat happiness" "the mystique of cats" "memorials for cats" and other cat related themes. it's only a thought, as i have no idea how much work it might require, but i am sure many tdk'ers would love the opportunity to read these original
    compositions.

    kk - i'm still in shock and saddened about the passing of spike. thinking of you and your family at this sad time. poor dara is upset and is trying her best to let spike know she misses him.

  14. Poochi7 - Dara is currently curled up on Spike's favourite chair. She is coming to terms with it.

  15. KK, if she went over there last week then she knew that he passed over. When my Kinker died at home, none of mine went searching from him because they knew. Actually they met me at the door when I came home and took me straight to him and sat there until I gently picked him up. I knew that he died shortly after 1 am because I had felt him crossing while I was at work, he waited for me to leave I sm sure of that. Enough of that, just wanted to express my gratitude to you and your whole family for the love you gave to Spike {{{hugs}}}

  16. Oh, I am so sorry KK. Blessings to you and your family during such a difficult time. I'm sure all of our departed kitties are making friends with Spike and showing him around the place.

  17. KK I am so very sorry for your loss! I had such high hopes that he would just show up. Mini KK must be terribly upset to have discovered him. My prayers of comfort and peace are with you while you grieve the loss of Spike.

  18. I'm so sorry, KK. I'm glad you know, though. The worse thing is not knowing. Polly's mum if I weren't already in tears your poem would have brought me to it. Thanks for sharing
