Oh what a delightful discovery on great depression cooking.com!!! This 93 yr. old woman who lived during the depression shares food and times from the era. She's delightful!!! Thanks jcat!

No worries, Karen. I was hoping someone might find some of the links useful or comforting. It's so easy to feel isolated and alone and totally demoralised when you're suddenly unemployed (believe me, I know), it really helps to realise how many others are in the same boat...
