Jimmie and Max announce a new addition

  1. We finally did it! I went to see this little calico sweetheart today and fell in love. She's about two years old, very tiny, maybe 5 or 6 lbs., mostly white with calico patches on her head and tail, and a couple of black spots on her sides. She's a lover--you can hear her purring from across the room. That is, when she's not hiding from Max, who has not welcomed her very graciously just yet. I'm sure they will adapt, but until then, I'll be here to monitor what goes on between them. I'm so happy to have another kitty (also a rescue, by the way.) I changed my avatar to her picture, but I don't think it has shown up yet. The avatar showing now is still Molly.

  5. Her name (given to her by her rescue mom) is Cali. I was thinking of changing it to Chloe, but I think maybe Cali is a good name for her.

  25. A wonderful addition to your home.
    We had a pair of brown tabbies years ago. We adopted both and called them Bonnie and Clyde.

  27. Thanks, all of you, for the good wishes. And a special thank you to Sylvester and Mia for the "mousie" gift, and Tigerlily and the gang for the pretty rose.

    Scarver-I can't tell you how happy I am about HM and Rocky, but I have to admit that Rocky is soooo beautiful that I'm jealous!! He's such a "guy", isn't he? Cali is the perfect little diva--I can see it in her.

  30. MCM...She is such a beautiful little girl. I'm sure in time Max will come to love her dearly. When I first opened this thread your avatar was Molly....I hit Ctrl F5 and the avatar updated to show Cali. For just a brief moment I choked at the disappearing face of Molly. Sorry...I don't mean to rain on Cali's parade. I get so attached to everyone's kitties.....argh! Cali is a very lucky little girl. Wishing you many years of joyful snuggles and headbonks! =)
