Hi LK, Katt, Jroc!!
What a morning. I just was able to sit and think for a minute. I started getting a cold yesterday and by last night..Hello..there it was. Thank goodness it's not a really bad one..just more of an irritant. Wayne woke up with it too. It's 65 here today so I opened some windows to get some fresh air in.

Morning Jroc, KH & LK! I'll take a steaming cup of tea with honey & lemon please.... my throat still feels like I swallowed razor blades, and I still have a fever of about 100.......... looks around to make sure WWM doesn't see that I haven't started gargling yet this morning!........
Bummer to be sick, while I'm packing to go on vaca! Hopefully I can shake this! I'm struggling with what to do with Abby, we'll be gone a week! Hubbs says he wouldn't mind if I brought her along - of course we'd have to "sneak" her in, but once there, no one would ever know. I always do my own cleaning and just take our linens to the exchange desk when I need to. She's as good as gold, and her litterbox is self contained & covered, so I could just put it in a corner of the bathroom....... am I horrible for considering this????.... she's just so miserable without me, and I don't know how I'd keep her and Cuddles food separate if I left her here! Daughter has to drive back Monday, so Cuddles will be fine for a couple days by herself, and I figure if it's not working with Abby, I can send her back with daughter..... what do you all think? am I insane?

Hi to CM, AV and Joan....sorry to hear of your sore throats and colds, CM and AV.....if you feel better taking Abby, then I would....no, don't think you're crazy....I would do it if I felt more comfortable about it...hope you all feel better soon!! Being sick is a drag :(

Hi AV *hands AV big mug of tea with honey & lemon* - sorry you're sick; hopefully vaca will help you shake it. Hubby and I always wanted to take Shaddo with us; we thought he would have loved the beach. (Jiggs, not so much.) Hey, if you can sneak Abby in, go for it! If I lived closer I would love to watch Cuddles for you.

I am lucky about the cold, it's just minor and more of a pain in the tush. My throat hurts but I am drinking my hot tea. I opened up some windows to get fresh air in and hopefully it will clear the air of any viruses :)

Hi all :) Still kind of stressed about the check issue I mentioned yesterday. Mike's friend is coming to visit from CT today and we have no food and no real money to buy food with because of my stupid building management, especially after yesterday with the vet bill. I feel like a bad host, especially since it's a friend from far away that he doesn't get to see too often, and we don't even have anything to eat or any money to go out and do anything.
I'm going to try talking to them again today, I think. Gotta work something out.

Morning, all.
So happy to hear that there are new kitties in the TDK family.
George had an exciting morning, protecting his humans from the box monsters that came into the apartment yesterday. We're getting our bathroom retiled and the tiles were delivered yesterday. George has pretty much shredded the boxes at this point, but we don't think he can damage the tiles so we're just letting him be.
I have one of my awful headaches and just want to go home and lie flat on the couch (the only thing that helps, apart from Vicodin). Instead, I'm here at work :( Could I get a mug of hot chocolate and a kitty to snuggle? At least it's Friday.

Morning everyone. CM and AV, I hope you feel better soon. AV if Abby is a quiet cat, I would take her with you. Leave the Do not disturb sign on the door and leave the radio going.
Gini, tell them that it is theft to keep a double payment AND call your bank and see if they can help resolve the situation.
They should have returned your check if they had done the direct draft. Or if the check was received first than not have done the draft. Either way they knowingly took double payment. If they persist in being butts tell them you have no choice but call the police and press charges. Also I would bet there is a renters association in town. It is neither fair nor legal for them to not refund an overpayment. Again, get the bank involved ASAP.

ya know, that's what I love about you guys! You understand my need to take Abby with me! KK, she is as good as gold, and doesn't make a peep. I will bring her little donut bed and blue blankie, and she will curl up and sleep on those, she just wants to be around me. That's what I was thinking too, just to leave the do not disturb sign on the door!
...... slinks in the kitchen and starts to gargle......guilt written all over face...... stares at the floor, WWM's foot tapping impatiently........
