Emma is injured

Emma! You silly wabbit! Sending you lots of healing energy. I really hope it heals faster than my mother's broken foot did. Take care of yourself and try and train the cats to at least drag the empty Cheetoh packets out of sight and bring fresh ones.

My Stars Emma!!! Lots of love, hugs, prayers and of course purrs to you from the boys and I. Keep your foot up, keep your spirits up and keep your hopes up. Perhaps it is not so very bad. I have had many encounters with orthos and they have all been positive. My only advice is to take it easy and stay off of it until they get a better idea of what they are dealing with. No heroics! Prayers and healing white light to you.

Emma
My prayers are with you! about 20 years ago I walked off my front steps(I heard that CRUUUNNNNCCCHH OUCH) and broke my 5th metatarsal. It healed pretty quickly! The last break I had in my other foot was caused by a pony landing on it! It was broken in 3 places. I didn't hear the crunch and it didn't swell up so I thought it was just a bad bruise. My friends husband is an pediatric orthopedic surgeon, she saw me and insisted that I go see him 3 days after it happened. I wound up in a cast for 10 weeks it happened june 14th so the summer sucked, I also got the cast wet and had to get a new one on 2 days before the 4th of July, When asked what color cast I wanted I jokingly said Red, white and blue he did it! so for 8 weeks I had a flag around my foot it was a good story starter!
I feel your pain stay off it.
Peace

Emma, prayers are with you. About 12 years ago I slipped on the ice, and it was an easy fall. Nothing hurt. I pushed the bone back in my ankle and walked on to work. I had a badly broken ankle and still can't believe I walked on it. Anyway let the boys take care of you and get some R and R.

Isn't that the most awful CRUNCH sound? I have broken both legs, both ankles (at least 6 times), toes on both feet! Last year broke my neck and back, now that was horrible to hear. Nothing like it! It is so disturbing. Please drink hot chocolate and eat Cheetoh's and DON'T feel guilty about it! You do need TLC and don't feel bad about taking it.

Oh, thank you, all you dear people, for your kind words and sweet prayers!
And my break is a large chip out of the 5th metatarsal, too, 3KS. Hopefully, this one will heal fast, too.
The pain is lessening a bit and the swelling is starting to go down a little, but it is still red and puffy and very tender. The ortho office has not called yet but I am sure that I will hear from them first thing in the morning.
The two little lads are behaving like sweet babies who would just as soon snooze on a surgical boot as a pillow. THAT did hurt a bit and woke me up quickly. Ruggles weighs about 14 lbs and thinks of himself as a tiny kitten. He was a bit miffed at being rousted off.

I'm so glad your pain is being managed. Dr. Ruggles needs a gentler bedside manner I think! I hope you are able to get some sleep and that you have help getting food in and getting to appointments and such. I'm keeping you in my prayers for swift recovery!!

Emma, Hope you are doing better this morning. Mr. T-Do is a 14.5 pounder and still thinks he is at 6pounds. He can settle on my lap and put my leg to sleep! Glad that the pain is not as bad as yesterday. Do you have the lovely purple toes that go along with a foot injury? Purple toes that look like sausages was what I had when I got a bad sprain! Lovely! Thoughts and prayers to you.
