  1. Miss Cali is such a delight!! She is so tiny, I'm afraid I'm going to step on her, but she's pretty quick. Yesterday, I was watching her walk away from me across the room, and I noticed she has a definite swish or swing to her walk. Kinda seductive, maybe. Does anyone remember guys saying "Gee, I wish I had a swing like that on my back porch!"??? That's what Cali makes me think of.

  2. Molly would do that, with her tail straight up in the air, and the tip of the tail would flick, flick back and forth. Thought that was so cute. I called it her "sashay" walk!

  3. That's so funny! My mom says that about my cat Molly that lives with her! Look at that swing! I think all cats have that special "walk" about them! They know how to work it!

  4. Anyone who wonders why they call a fashion runway the "Catwalk" has never been owned by a cat.

  5. I'm so glad you're enjoying Cali! How's Max coming along?

  6. My youngest boy kitty, Schatzi, walks with a fair imitation of a John Wayne swagger! He thinks Cali would swoon and he'd love to see her "porch swing!"

  7. Ailuromaniac--I never thought of that!!! So true!!!

GD--Max is doing much better, thanks for asking. Since Cali came from such a "zoo" of animals, she wasn't afraid of him. When he first hissed at her, she shied away, but after that it was like "OK, back off, bucko, I've been around bigger guys than you!!" and she never backed down again. They are kinda at the point of "oh, it's you again" when they meet in the hallway. I think they both slept on the bed for a while last night. I know when Max is there because he's usually right up next to me, but Cali is so tiny, I can't feel her get up or down.

  8. Awwwwww! They'll get used to eachother. It's good for Maxie to have company again. Cali sounds like a sweet girl!

  9. Oh, sorry DCH, didn't mean to forget you--John Wayne, huh? He must be a pretty sexy kitty. I don't have a video camera, so I can't show him her "moves", sorry.

  10. MACM I'm glad Cali is fitting in, she is absolutely beautiful. AND she's got the calico sashay!! Tee hee hee

My best friend has a calico named Minka, and she's very ladylike, but not about to take any guff. She's very poised and proper, but she suffers no fools - lol. On top of all that, she is a total love bug.

Hugs to my buddy Max for being a good brother.
